Nintendo's favorite fighter franchise makes its first foray into the handheld world. Here is the place to post your impressions and discuss your favorite modes, characters, strategies and anything else related to Sakurai's baby.
The Star Fox bomb was the trick I used, didn't have any problem getting 105+ on 4 characters (just put two on one side, the third on the other side and toss the fourth from anywhere).
I must say, the trophies in this game have some pretty hilarious writing behind them. The 1-up, Pokemon Trainer (RIP), Eggplant...solid lines of text Nintendo.
I'm working on that one now. I've come the closest using Yoshi and working the bomb 3-5 times with his down+kick before smashing it. I was within one red target a few minutes ago.
If it doesn't hit the farthest target on the first shot, start over.
@DrFinkelstein Yeah I don't have a good tip for that, I'm not even totally sure how the game works. I used Sonic and used down-tilts to build up % on the bomb, then smacked it with forward smashes and hoped for the best.
I'm trying to unlock the Flat Zone 2 stage, but I'm not getting results. I thought the requirement to unlock it was to unlock Mr. Game & Watch - which I did. But no stage. I think that's the last stage I need to unlock - any tips?

The trophies seem kind of...strange this time around. Is it just me? There've been some fun, goofy jokes in some of them, but a lot of the time the writing feels rather different from the Treehouse's usual output. Occasionally it doesn't feel quite as professional at points either (reusing words several times in one paragraph, missing commas, etc). I'm not sure what to make of them yet.
Man, I stink hard at this game, but I have been having fun messing with it. I had the day off and spent a decent amount of time with this. While I still have a ton to unlock, I only have 2 challenges left. These have been great to get me to try out all the different modes. I think my main issue with this game is the wacky analog control with the circle pad. My main difficulty seems to be controlling my character on the board. I find myself dashing and rolling and bouncing all over the place when I don't want to. It probably doesn't help that I almost always choose a random fighter and haven't picked a character to really learn. Oh, and this game is super gorgeous, especially up close.
Is the Wii U one worth getting, if the 3DS one has practically everything the Wii U version has. Whats the Wii U going to do to make it stand out from its handheld brother?
