Nintendo's favorite fighter franchise makes its first foray into the handheld world. Here is the place to post your impressions and discuss your favorite modes, characters, strategies and anything else related to Sakurai's baby.
Unlocked a ton of challenges and played a handful of stages/matches. I'm loving these brand new stages. Tortimer's Island... Golden Plains... HELL! even 3D World is a scrolling stage I actually think I love. That's new.
Perhaps. There's 27 from the get-go, 18 of those are brand new, and I've unlocked 3 already. Of those three, I think at least two are new.
There hopefully is even more!
I was dabbling in Smash Run tonight and... I still don't quite understand what makes me effective or not. I did win once with Captain Falcon though.... so two more and I unlock that damn rectangle.
Sure, if you have room and want to add me, that'd be swell. Here's my code: 4811-6941-5656. I'll add you as soon as I stop listening to the Mother theme on repeat... (gotta love the "play in sleep mode" option).
I love items, they're what make Smash Bros the super fun and zany game that it is, but I'll agree that some of the new and returning ones can be a bit too much (I'd like to turn off some of the assists, too).
@kgtennispro My items are already balanced how I like them, but not online. Brawl allowed item switch when playing with friends. It's too bad that this one took some steps backward. BOO!
@NoName I love items too, but some need to disappear!
The Gust Bellows is the worst thing to happen to anything ever!
Double-posting, but I need to confirm that playing multiplayer with four people actually LAGS locally. Sometimes pretty badly. I don't know if it's level-dependent, but it was REALLY bad on "Find Mii."
I was most excited to try out Robin and Shulk. Robin's charged up thunder attack and Levin sword smashes are so OP. He's great in the hands of a noob like myself. Shulk on the other hand.....I feel like one has to devote a lot of time in the practice mode to figure out how to operate the Monado Arts in any effective manner.
@DrFinkelstein You can place the slide pad rubber back on top, but it still comes off rather easily and it's not helped that my hands get sweaty real fast when playing Smash for some reason so it ends up sticking to my thumb. It's not going to stop me playing Smash, but it is going to make it harder to play.
