Steel Diver: Sub Wars Discussion (Nintendo 3DS) [game]

Steel Diver: Sub Wars on the 3DS
8/10 from one rating

Welcome to the official discussion thread for Steel Diver: Sub Wars on the 3DS!

This game is pretty fun, the submarine concept works better from the first person perspective, compared to the side scrolling 3DS launch game. Online is methodical and rewarding, and you'd be surprised how hectic submarine battles can get. Chatting via morse code is one of those cool quirky things in Nintendo games. I'm pretty sure I'll plunk down the 10 bones for the full version, but I'm quite enjoying the F2P version so far.

Update? Suh weet. Friends, voice chat?

@deathly_hallows I think voice chat is too wild a dream. They seem determined to bring back the Morse. Perhaps we'll need to learn Latin for their next f2p game!

Vaguely-worded update announced.

We are also planning to implement a number of requests we have received from players in this update.

This HAS to spell buddy-battles, right?

Oooh, interesting!

Booo! None of our dreams came true.

Waiting time is down to 1 minute tho. Feels more efficient.

I still get error codes quite a bit, oh well. I'm playing right now, join my game! (is what I would say if this game had proper friend matches).

Hello, I’m Takaya Imamura, the Director of Steel Diver: Sub Wars. Thank you so much for playing. We’re planning to release Version 3.0 in the future, and I’d like to take a moment to update you on what we’re working on. In Version 3.0, you can set up Internet Battles with your Friends.

Gonna be all pew pew pew on your flanks!

Edit: Of course! Just realised it's for premium owners only. Will this tempt anyone to pony up? I might if there's enough interest.

@Super_Conzo

Interesting. I was just thinking about maybe getting the premium version. Good timing.

I was also considering picking up more of the DLC for NEW Super Mario Bros. 2. Nintendo gonna be makin' more money from me via DLC.

Holy shit! They really are listening to the community. Who here has the premium version? I pounced on it a little while ago, myself. I'd be down for some friend battles some time after 3.0 hits.
