Welcome to the Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate thread! This will be our headquarters for coordinating our Hunts, sharing stories of war, and helpful hints for our brothers-in-arms, compatriots, friends, and neighbors. Please be mindful of folks' different definitions of "spoilers," and remember that not EVERYBODY played Monster Hunter Tri on the Wii, though everybody totally should've.


The "burden" of running this thread has been placed upon me but...I can't do it alone. I will lean on Maxi and others to help with the heavy lifting occasionally, both in planning things and also in feeding this thread. Please keep it bumped (once we get going). If you could, let us know if you're getting this game, WHEN you're getting this game, and what your aspirations are so we can get us situated in groups with likeminded people. Do you want to barely play this game? Is this going to be your new #1? The most fun with this game is had when you get to go out with a group of guys week in week out, so if we can find someone with a schedule similar to yours, you'll have the most fun with it.

Got on about 10:58, did a solo quest online while my jam packed Friends List of Mario Kart people slowly dwindled. Left about 11:30, hopped on Mario Kart, and experienced a slew of Communication Errors before finally getting crushed in 150cc offline.

Terrible night.

I sat on MH for about an hour. Didn't see anyone show up online. Made a room and waited for about 20 mins. Then checked FL and saw most folks on MK, so off I went. No worries though.

Are you good for MH this coming Tuesday? I know the allure of Mario Kart is strong..

Do you think it would be better to maybe do Mario Kart first and THEN go to Monster Hunter at a predetermined time? I was able to race with a bunch of NWers for about 20 minutes last night, and then most everyone went to bed. Maybe that would fit "our" MH schedule better?

Well, it's time to blow the dust out of my horns and start smashing some skulls again. I will be joining you all for the Tuesday night hunts, won't be on until after midnight though. There you are! Tuesday Hunts have been mostly lame lately, its been pretty much just Cryo and I most every week since you've been gone. Some other folks have been around here and there, but nothing consistent. It'll be nice to have a SOLID 3 each and every week.

Also, last week, we did Mario Kart for a while and then switched off to Monster Hunter, maybe you can meet up with us on MK before we head over to MH or something? Make sure you've got some folks on your friend list and swing by that thread, too!

Good to have you back, dude. I gotta play RCD tonight in Madden, might see ya soon if I advance!

Tomorrow I will be podcasting (with Lou!) who knows how late we'll go. And no problem on the hunt, it was hard!! I completed it w/ some randoms after you had to go.

So, uhhh, I'm looking through a list of Wii U software by release date...and can someone super-familiar with MH tell me the difference between:

Monster Hunter: Frontier G
Monster Hunter: Frontier G5
Monster Hunter: Frontier G6
Monster Hunter: Frontier G Genuine

I ask because they've either already dropped in Japan, or they're on their way. When told that we aren't getting Monster Hunter 4 (at least at this time) on the Wii U, but they have things like this:



I just think, "whatever, I'll get that other one when it comes out here."
And could they be doing a tee-hee moment, knowing that they aren't releasing 4 for the Wii U BECAUSE they're dropping this stuff over here instead? I mean, how do they release FOUR of these games for Wii U over there, and we get NONE of them? Fingers crossed??
