Played the Demo last night in conjunction with the Sale (50% off) that is going on right now for the game on the eShop. Some of the stuff will take some getting used to, I'm sure, as I was missing shot after shot. It was pretty embarrassing. Also, the guys were like TANKS. Am I just used to Zombi U? One or two headshots should be enough, but that wasn't the case.

Any idea how far into the game the Demo takes place (mind the spoilers). It seemed pretty early, but those guys were pretty tough.. I've been itching for a Zombi U sequel, but maybe this would suffice? Conversely, do I need to buy this if I can just PLAY ZOMBI U AGAIN? I'm not sure.

I was diggin' Jill though. Ohhh, Jill. She looks a little different in the face though, which is a bummer. I like Jill.
I could always play Resident Evil on the Wii, too. Or Resident Evil 4 again. I don't know what to do.

@Mr_Mustache

You should probably play the new game, rather than replay old stuff you have already gone through.

I haven't played the demo in forever so I don't remember what level it is, but if it's the ship, it's the beginning of the game.

I'd say Revelations is definitely worth a go, especially at $20. It's the most fun I've had with a Resident Evil since 4.

As for the enemies you faced in the demo, they definitely are bullet sponges unless you approach them just right. The best way to save ammo is to shoot both arms until they're paralyzed, then go in for a charged melee attack on it.

Yeah, Revelations is definitely worth $20.

..Charged Melee Attack? Demo didn't teach meeee.

I also just realized I didn't use my Grenades, darn it! Maybe I can give it another run, knowing now what I know.

@DeputyVanHalen

It's 20 on the eShop? I'll see if I can find a disc for that price then.

Amazon has it for $20 right now.

Shouldn't be too hard to find a physical copy for that much - especially if you don't mind pre-played discs.

I might bite for this price, but I have a couple questions.

1. The only part of this game that interests me is the online. Do I have to play snigle-player to unlock online features?
2. Does anyone here play online still?
06/15/14, 22:42
@Mop it up

1.) Yes.

2.) I don't know. I'd play online with ya, but I have the 3DS version.

Ah, the 3DS version is so good. What a gem.
Some great use of the 3D aspect, too!

I've never even played the online mode. Is it fun?

Have we met? Blech!

@Mr_Mustache

If it's the demo I remember, it's part of the first episode of the game (the game is divided into twelve episodes).

Yeah, thanks. Not sure what I'm going to do with this thing just yet. I'll let you guys know if I make a move.

@ploot

Yeah, the online is good stuff. Ran through some missions back when the game came out and "S-Rank'd" several stages with some guys that I "know" through IGN.

The Wii U version has in-game voice chat too, which I imagine can help out.

The 3DS version is on sale as well, only $9.99. Only bad thing about downloading it, it takes a little over 25,000 blocks of space which is almost 4gb. I had a 8gb card, but 75% of the space was filled, so I had to upgrade to a 16gb card, which was only $10 at Walmart, which was for a Sony 16gb sdhc card, most of the other 16gb cards were around $15-$17. The only had a couple of the Sonys, I'm thinking the Sony's are an older card that Walmart is trying to move out of stock.

I owned RE Revelations for the 3DS when it launched, but ended up selling it cause I needed money. I was only about 20%-25% into the game, but really was enjoying it. So, I figured, might as well just go for this version again, esp. since its $10 less than the Wii U version, plus its in 3D.

I still had $5 worth of credit on the eshop, so I also bought Night Sky, which is MOST EXCELLENT! I had been eyeing up this game ever since it hit the 3DS eshop and since it is on sale for $4.99, figured I might as well bite on it as well. I do not regret it one bit. I highly recommend it for those with access to a 3DS.
