Why not sign up for a (free) account?

Holy snap! So glad I kept my 1000 coins and didn't get Game and Watch Ball!

I totally called this by the way.

I just received Ball at the cost of all my points.

I sure as hell hope I'm gonna enjoy it.

I wonder if there'll be post play surveys for the games you get with your points.

We did get them for the Ambassador games, so I wouldn't be surprised (reminder: you have until December 31st to fill them up, people).

They still ask "Why did you get this game", too. Pretty absurd.

That's...pretty cool! I may have to look into getting a few. Most of the swag on there is pretty meh to me, but games? Yes please!

I'll definitely be getting Mario v. DK and possibly Fluidity depending on the price. What great news! I can't stop posting in this thread!

I don't know if I'd exactly call it a downside but to me, I'd be more hesitant on impulse buys. Sort of like Sony's PlayStation Plus program and its discounts, I'd wait for the moment that a game I want is available for purchase with Coins instead of actual cash.

Nintendo has really done a lot this year in terms of pushing forward in new directions and forgetting their old ways. Of course they still have a lot to do to catch up but with the 3DS firmware update we received and now this, it's pretty exciting. And there's still the matter of that mobile app where we can navigate the Nintendo store and even make purchases. Who would've imagined Nintendo would be going in that direction?

This is awesome. Glad to see Club Nintendo slowly improving.

So this isn't temporary? It's actually just gonna be a new service which also will be swapping games out from time to time?

*looks at my 1900 points...* *drools with delight*

Those prices look pretty sweet. At first, I thought it would be better if you could just trade coins for Wii/eShop points like you can in Europe so that you could spend them on anything you want, but for 100 coins that's pretty much a free game for every two Nintendo games you buy. Can't beat that.

Awesome except I spent all my coins on the shirt and giant AR card (still hoping my wife did in fact buy me a 3ds for Christmas!).

That is awesome. I'm glad I passed on Ball, since I figured good rewards would appear as soon as I ordered it (see also: Guillaume).

Very cool news, but in a way I'd rather spend coins on things you can't easily buy (i.e. Game & Watch Ball).

Ball >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Xevious and Super Mario Kart ports.

Then again, I'm a handheld electronics whore, so... ignore me.

I agree, but generally the rewards either aren't great or are way too many coins. The only thing I've gotten that I really want is the Zelda posters. I'd get Ball and the G&W DS games if they cost less, but 1200 coins for Ball? Come on.

Based on that screenshot, games will be around 100 coins. That's awesome. Even if I get something like Ball, I don't have to wait six months while I build up my coin count again to get something good.

The director of Fluidity said on Twitter that it'll be available for 150 coins.

150 coins for Fluidity is a steal.

@VofEscaflowne

I wonder if they can any money for those "sales"

This is pretty cool! I'd prefer it if better goodies that you can't buy were put up, but this will do. It seems that there will be a monthly rotation of games available.

Is there a way to just register 3DS games ON the 3DS? I feel like that should be a no-brainer for them. Some kind of alert that says "Oh, we noticed you have a Club Nintendo account - would you mind filling out a brief survey to redeem coins?" The more games I get, the less I get the energy to register them and do surveys and stuff.
