If you're confused, Tony Stewart wasn't the guy who got spun in the race (though he was parked by Logano at the end of Video2). That was for something else, though Joey Logano WAS involved in both incidents. Pretty wild final 10 laps yesterday. Should be a fun off week, haha!

Haven't heard anything on Hamlin. He went to the hospital after that crash, and it was the first time in 10 years of watching that I've seen them work on someone on the ground outside the car. Not fun to see someone get hurt.

Hey baseball.

EDIT- And the Yankees lost, so that is awesome.

Woo baseball.
04/02/13, 02:28
@Mr_Mustache

Agreed. Sadly the Pirates also lost, but it's a long season except for the Yankees who are going to be 0-162 this year, fingers crossed.

I'm just happy my beloved baseball has finally returned! Screw the MLB for scheduling a day off for the Bucs today! WHY ARE YOU TEASING ME LIKE THIS?!?
04/02/13, 22:18
The Yankees losing is always much more enjoyable when it doesn't mean that the Red Sox won though. That's one of the matchups that made me wish sports had a way for both teams to lose a game.
04/02/13, 22:21
Per tradition, I'm in my appropriate Orioles jersey (road grays) and spring jacket on opening day, and wouldn't you know its SNOWING outside? Unfreakin'believable.

DVR'ing the game..
04/02/13, 22:52
Mariners won, even if our anemic offense showed up for opening day (Felix must get some of the lowest run support for a starting pitcher).

Damn Astros won. I haven't checked out the news, but after months of "Oh boo-hoo our team has nobody on it, we have a payroll less than 1 Yankee, and we moved divisions" winning that first game was not a good thing. The last thing this city needs is false hope.
04/02/13, 23:27
So has anyone seen the broken leg that Louisville player suffered? I'm doing my best to avoid seeing it.
04/03/13, 03:57
@chrisbg99

I saw a picture of it on Facebook. I only took a glance... not good.

Don't worry, I think yesterday night's game crushed most hope!

Man, ONE pitch away from a Perfect Game. That would suck so bad! AND the fact that the hit went right through his legs! I feel for that guy...

@chrisbg99

I saw it live. It's brutal. Worst injury I've ever seen, though I haven't seen many. When I first say it, in real time, I thought it was just a twisted ankle. Then CBS went back and wanted to show what happened, because I think everyone thought the same thing at first, and then they showed it. Don't look for it, it's terrible.

@-JKR-

Yeah, that seemed to have dashed the hopes.
04/03/13, 17:44
I haven't checked myself, but I set my DVR and they do it every year; should be free baseball in the 1600s (for me) on Time Warner with MLB Extra Innings. You can also get hockey on there, too. Woosers!
04/04/13, 02:04
@Mr_Mustache
Yeah, the first week is always free. I watched a bit of a game on it last night. I'll never sign up for it though because MLB's blackout rules are stupid. In Oklahoma City we're in the blackout zone for the Rangers, Astros, Cardinals, Royals and Rockies, so any games involving any of those teams are blacked out.

My Pirates are off to a slow start at 1-5. Tonight we're playing the Diamondbacks, and we were doing pretty well when one of our best pitchers left the game with a leg injury! D:

Doooooooooooomed!

EDIT: We ended up winning 5-3, so yay. One step closer to .500 baseball! *fingers crossed*

Mets are off to a solid start, beating Doc Halliday last night. Woo Mets.

Canucks are also looking strong going into the playoffs. Woo Hockey.

The cardinal rule in college basketball (and all basketball) was broken by both Michigan and Louisville last night: never leave the white guy open for a three-pointer.
04/09/13, 18:59
Man, O's have been poopin their pants 'lately'. Started 3-1, and now they're like 3-4, I think. Blargh.

@ludist210

Oh, Zero said some guy was making all kinds of shots. I didn't know he was white for 3s!
