Oh snap. The Ignition Factor, which I've always wanted to try, and Gargoyle's Quest, which I've wanted to replay, on the same day. Nintendo loves me! Or at least they do today!

Aw yeah! Gargoyle's Quest! Also, what the...? The Ignition Factor? This game looks... ugghh. Was it any good? The YouTube videos I've seen make it look terrible.

Well now, I just finished DK 94 today, and I'm curious about Gargoyle's Quest since you guys keep talking it up all the time. Hmm... I'll also check out the Kyotokei demo, seems like a solid shmup.

@anon_mastermindWell, to temper your expectations a bit, the game's reputation owes a lot to the fact that it was one of the first "meaty" adventure games on the system and to its now legendary sequel, Demon's Crest. But in reality, it's quite short. @GameDadGrantI've heard good things. At any rate, it's not every day you can play a firefighter action game.

@GuillaumeYeah, most Gameboy games are short aren't they? Short but replayable. @CPA WeiCastlevania: Rondo of Blood first!!

I'm debating getting Gargoyles Quest or waiting to download it for the inevitable redesign. Doesn't seem likely Nintendo will let you transfer the games over. Plus 3ds as is doesn't seem great for playing old games anyway

@JargonDoesn't seem likely? There's a menu option for it already, it's just not enabled.

Sweet! Totally downloading Gargoyle's Quest. I'll have to investigate this Ignition thing. Never heard of it. Man, everything's coming up Jaleco lately. @JargonThey already announced 3DS -> 3DS transfers for everything but Ambassador GBA games.

But what about 3DS to 3DS Lite (or whatever)? I guess that is encouraging though.

@Jargon I don't see why they wouldn't. I imagine the redesigned 3DS will have the same interface (like the DS and DS Lite) and so anything the 3DS can do will be able to be done on the redesign as well. I guess that's just speculation, but Im not worried about it. @Anand Didn't Nintendo go back on that, and say that GBA games CAN be transferred? Although they will unfortunately still lack some features. They can be transferred at least in Europe.

Guillaume, would you recommend Gargoyle's Quest overall? I might skip out on this one--I'm pretty satisfied with my current 3DS downloadables (LA, DK94, Shantae and Aura-Aura).

If they're releasing Gargoyle's Quest now, they may be leading up to the sequel, followed by Demon's Crest on the Wii's VC. Hopefully.
