One thing, is every game that was available for the DSi, can it be downloaded to the 3DS, meaning are all the same games in the store?

One thing I thought was strange, I just typed in Dragon's Lair( and the apostraphe needs to be included, without it the game wouldn't come up) but thats only one of my issues, there is also Dragon's Lair 2, but there was no actual little picture for the game, until I typed it in the search engine.

Shouldn't every single game have its only picture tile. If everygame is not pictured, how would I know what games are available and thier titles? Does that make sense? Say if I never heard of Dragon's Lair 2, then I would never think to type that game in the search engine, thus I would never know it exsists?

I am pretty sure I checked every category and there was no Dragon'e Lair 2 tile..so I am assuming there are many other DSi games available and since I never had a DSi, I would never know the games available for download for the DSi, so that means I would never have the chance to look at that game and thus I would never think about buying it.

I hope that makes sense. So, I guess I am complaining about that, but shouldn't every single DSi ware game be shown or listed? And if I overlooked something, please let me know.

Nice to see 3D trailers, the Ocarina of Time trailer looked awesome.

the eShop streams the trailers very well.

K I got the update working but the E-Shop failed one me multiple times.

Of course I downloaded ExciteBike 3D and I put $5 on my acct and downloaded Mario Land. I never owned any Nintendo handheld until the DS and I ownly owned that system for less than 2 years. I need to catch up on some classic Nintendo handheld gaming.

@warerare

Where did you see such things?

@chrisbg99

It was on the main eShop page for me.

@chrisbg99

Looks like here in North America we do not have the trailer yet.

@warerare

Have you guys had the eshop longer than us? If so, was the trailer available right away or did it take a day or a few days before it became available?

@gamewizard65

eShop became available the same time as yours.

Damn its expensive though, £10.80 for Shantae, £3.60 for Mario Land.

@warerare

Well, we have no trailer for OoT. And how do those prices relate to US dollars? Mario Land was $3.99. I thought that was a fair price for the game, though I think $2.99 would have been more appropriate, but I am not complaining. There was alot of cool looking games for only $1.99.

I think black and white gameboy games should never go any higher than $3.99 US dollars. What is everyone else's opinions on that price for Mario Land.

Edit: I need to go to bed, its almost 4:30am and I need to be up in less than 4 hours. I am going to be grouchy at work tomorrow, esp. since I have to bust my ass, so I can be home by noon to watch the Nintendo Conference and then head back to finish up whatever I do not get done in the moring.

Thanks for replying so quick, Warerare.

Its essentially $6 for Mario Land. Although we are currently at 20% tax so that accounts for some of it.

@warerare

Yea, thats a bit high. (typed & read from my 3ds)

Even though its kindof small, its nice to be able to do all of this laying down.

@gamewizard65 That's what I was saying, some games seem findable by search only, so you have to know what you are looking for. It's bizarre.

Yea, I agree that does suck. I never owned a DSi, so I have no idea all the titles that are available for that service. I know other have mentioned having voice chat in games and amongst ourselves. I think I remember asking about that and Casper said we would definatly have that feature. Now, he is just assuming that or was that feature directly discussed by Nintendo? Cause I honestly never read or heard about it...but it is a feature the 3DS should have if it is to compete properly in these modern times.

Stop nitpicking and wait for them to update it...?

I'm sure they'll fix or add in a feature that lets us easily search for all games. For now we can just use online and search for the top titles. There's already a few articles by Guillaume that shows us the best games.

Ok I swear Excitebike's physics are just plain... different... than they used to be.

I was thinking the same thing, though it mainly relates to jumping. I swear you used to be able to launch yourself off the screen on the small, angled ramps.
06/07/11, 15:57
okay its been about 25 years since I last played Excitebike so I don't feel totally stupid. Do you have to beat all the time challenges before you are in an actual race or am i missing something?

@vids

The "A" mode has you playing alone. Choose "B" to have other racers but it's still not really a race. You still have to beat a certain time to finish first but it's just that you have extra racers which make it more difficulty to navigate between and not crash.
