I cried. :( I cried, knowing that no matter how long I continue to draw, I will never be as awesome as that guy. I hate it. So.... beautiful.... I have to start using Painter.... I really love how he drew Byrn, Linebeck, and some of the other WW-style characters. Ganondorf, Agahnim, Midna, and Ganon are all amazing as well. Incredible. I also just love how the Happy Mask Salesman is just casually teetering on top of the giant horrible eldritch abomination eyeball (which I'm guessing is that tentacle boss thing from PH) like he does it every day. He's just too creepy. My only complaint is that he forgot ERROR. An octorok or a few common enemies would have been nice too. Also I was thinking I would want to see a bigger picture of Saria's neat little outfit there and I found this This guys got 74 kinds style. |

carlosrox said:@Dillo64 The drawing itself isn't that great as much as it is the actual painting. Drawing like that guy isn't that hard, tons and tons of people can and could draw like that. Painting like that takes tons of time and patience though, as well as knowing your color theory and all that very well.
I know that, thats what I meant. I'm not an art major for nothing. I just rarely discern between the terms "draw" and "paint", I simply meant "I wish I could create artistic objects of this magnitude." Truth is I can probably draw/sketch as well as him and come up with compositions like that, but as far as the actual digital painting, color, and shading, I'm left in the dust. Its more his speed, consistency, and knowledge/judgment/usage of lights and shadows that I admire more than his actual ability to draw. |
