Yep, we still don't have an official name nor any kind of confirmation as to whether this is a Xenoblade sequel or not, but we did get some... walking?! Just kidding, once you get past the walking it's a pretty sweet trailer, and it is definitely one of our most anticipated games here at Negative World!

Look at all of those mechs!

"X" is currently slated for a 2014 release.

I'll be very interested to hear what kind of story and characters it will have. Plus with how impressive the world was in Xenoblade, I'm very interested to see what they'll do with X with less restrictions.

I wouldn't say no to a Xenoblade/X character and stage in the new Smash Brothers.

@r_hjort

Yup, I'd say that's exactly how it's going to be.

Yeah, we don't know anything about the story. I've been kind of taking it for granted that the story will be as full as the story for Xenoblade was. If we hear that it's just a game where you run around randomly in mechs, I'll have to rethink my excitement. For all they say about it being open-world, though, I'm still thinking it'll have lots of plot.

Any idea if this is going to have co-op play? I know ppl were saying this might end up like a Xenoblade meets Monster Hunter game. I'd like to see 1 person on the game pad, 1 person on the hd screen both playing "single player" experiences in a multiplayer environment.

This is the same man who gave us Xenogears and Xenosaga. It's much more likely to have too much plot than not enough.

To me this looks like a Xenogears/Saga game(though not officially obviously) with Xenoblade's environments and battle system.

I never got anywhere in Xenogears. I can't remember exactly why as it was long ago. It just wasn't my cup of tea. While I'm sure it would cause some to rejoice, if it's very Xenogears, my copy would probably be given away, traded, or very dusty.

@vids
Nothing official about that yet, but the first trailer had both chat log and "player" instead of character names on screen, so I'd say it's a possibility.

Personally I'd be fine with some drop-in-drop-out multiplayer in battles, sort of like what Secret of Mana has, but too heavy multiplayer focus risk ruining the drama, I feel, so I actually hope they're keeping things limited.

The story was definitely the weakest part of Xenoblade, so I don't care about that stuff. Just show me the game already!

@VickiL
Well, it's the seeming focus on mechs that reminds me of those games, since fighting in and against mechs was a huge part of them.

Hmmm... I may have to break down and get a WiiU once this come out
