So, I hope there weren't that many people able to go to this thing... because Nintendo and Best Buy has significantly cut their list of locations. To make matters worse, each Best Buy will only have one Demo Station per store... which has the four demos on it. Since you'll be waiting most of your time, if not the entire time (as no time limit has been announced for the stations)... there will be some kind of activities and swag.

They've apparently added more or still are using some others from the original list. Do NOT take the below list as CANON.

Did your Best Buy make the cut? Here's the Semi-True List as of now.

Alabama - Hoover, Huntsville
Arizona - Tempe Marketplace
Arkansas - Fort Smith
California - Bakersfield, Emeryville
Colorado - Denver
Connecticut - Manchester
Delaware - Concord Pike
Florida - Gainesville, Pensacola
Georgia - Augusta, Mall of Georgia, Savannah
Illinois - Schaumburg
Indiana - Greenwood
Iowa - Cedar Rapids, Jordan Creek
Kansas - Overland Park, Wichita
Kentucky - Outer Loop
Louisiana - Westbank
Maryland - Wheaton
Massachusetts - Dedham, Worcester
Michigan - Rochester Hills
Minnesota - Eden Prairie
Missouri - South County
New Jersey - Deptford, Woodbridge
New York - Long Island City, Saratoga Springs, West Nyack
North Carolina - Carolina Mall, Cary, Fayetteville, Winston Salem
Ohio - NONE
Oklahoma - Quail Springs
Oregon - NONE
Pennsylvania - Erie, Whitehall
South Carolina - North Charleston
Tennessee - Johnson City, Memphis, Rivergate
Texas - Arlington, Galleria, South Austin, The Woodlands, Tyler, West McAllen
Utah - NONE
Vermont - Williston
Virginia - Charlottesville, Newport News
Washington - Lynnwood
Wisconsin - NONE

South Austin would be a bit of a drive for me. Probably wont do it.

It's by work for me, so I'll probably attempt the Wed night one. I'm surprised it's not at the Arboretum one like things usually are.

I'd agree to meet up with you, but I just signed up to do the podcast Wednesday night.

(And I couldn't get tickets to the Zelda show, either. I'm Mr Failure right now.)

That's so strange. This was the list of demo stores that was originally on the Best Buy website, while game media outlets were reporting the "full" list. THEN the Best Buy site switched to the "full" list a few days later. Now they've switched back. What is going on here?

To be fair, if these were the playable games why not officially announce the list with these already revealed games? Why hide anything?

The unannounced games may be in the roster, hence the list not being official yet. May be part of the Direct, actually. The last one ended with the Best Buy mention, maybe this one does something similar?

Anyways I'll be happy enough to see Wind Waker. Pikmin and W101 are pretty damn nice cherries on top, the latter being more interesting I think.

Does anybody have any guesses as to why so many locations would be listed and removed so close to the date? The only thing I can think of is that they overestimated the amount of semos that would be shipped and didn't find out until the last minute that there weren't going to be as many demos sent as originally thought.

Yeah, my town is still there...but the rumored demo list is meh at best. I guess because I was hoping to try things that were a bit farther out, not something I know I'll be able to play this year.

The most perfect response ever to anything ever.

Wednesday actually. I wasn't implying "able to" as a past tense for having missed the chance, but I meant past tense as in before this list was announced, were you planning to go. Sorry for the confusion there.

Oh well, the rumored list is Pikmin, Wonderful 101, Wind Waker HD and New Super Luigi U, none of which I feel the need to fight a big crowd to check out.

Wait, really? That's pretty tepid. Pikmin and W101 were both playable last year, NSLU is just DLC and TWW is a remake. These are the kind of games that should be getting on-console demos.

Seriously? I've been itching to play W101 and Pikmin 3 is why I BOUGHT a Wii, so to me those two games alone being able to try them well before they release is a huge deal. I guess it's all in what one expects! My expectations were met and then some (didn't think 101 would be there, or WWHD).

Sadly, though, they removed Pittsburgh, so I'll have to wait until actual releases. Oh well! Easy come, easy go.

I think it's because they're both so close to release. I'm excited for both Pikmin 3 and Wonderful 101, but I'll be able to play both of them in, what, two and three months respectively? And we already know about them.

Personally, I was hoping for, say, the new 3D Super Mario game and Mario Kart. It's not to say I'm disappointed, but I'm kinda...lukewarm on these demos, and there's a station not ten minutes from my apartment. I'll still probably go (like I need an excuse to go to Best Buy), but I'm not as excited as I was.

I might make the drive down Wednesday night to the one nearest me, though it'll still be almost an hour out of my way. Not sure, though, because I feel a cold coming on. It would be nice to check out Wonderful 101 before I buy it.

Ah. Makes sense I guess!

I think I've reached a point where I don't want to play game demos that won't be out for months and months. Makes it harder instead of easier. :)

Who knows, maybe we'll get some nice stuff to download via the Wii U at some point. Sure would be cool to have advance demos there!

Like ludist said, part of it is that those games are very close to release and I'd rather just wait a couple months to go in more fresh. The other part is that I played Pikmin 3 and TW101 last year at E3, so I'm a little grumpy about them not actually being released by this point.

Yeah, if you already played them I can understand the disappointment. It would be like them putting out a demo of Rayman and Zombie U or something. I would have really loved to try W101 though! Having not been to E3 in like a decade.

The wait continues...

Bah, they took off two of the closer locations to me! Now the closest is off the beltway and that just blows.

Ugh that's so stupid. The King of Prussia mall is like the biggest in the country. Why wouldn't they have a demo there??

I wasn't going to be able to go anyway but that is really shitty for people who now won't be able to make it. With that list of software though I probably would not even bother though.
