This week's Nintendo Download is a bit light on quantity, but hits with quality. Animal Crossing: New Leaf launches at midnight on June 9. The Wii U eShop has Trine 2 on sale this week for $9.99, and Marvel Avengers: Battle for Earth receives a price cut (now $29.99). There's also a two new Wii U Virtual Console games as well as a Wii Virtual Console game. Be sure to check out your favorite Nintendo digital storefront today, June 6, at noon EST for all of this week's updates.

Hmm, nothing but a neogeo game for 3DS this week, that's kinda lame, but considering I haven't even downloaded the Zeldas from last week how can I complain?
Well next week is Mighty Switch Force! 2 for $6.99 I think, and then Shantae the week after that...plus it's E3 week. Nintendo often surprises us with either a freebie during their conferences (or in this case a Nintendo Direct) or a "Hey, this is available right now in the eShop!" I'm hoping for a few goodies next Tuesday.
Oh, poo. When I first read that Spelunker was going to hit the eShop, I was thinking of Spelunky. Drats. I really want to play that game! It sounds as though Nicalis wants to bring it to Wii U, though, so maybe it'll happen one day.
I don't think so, but I remember a Twit post by Tyrone Rodriguez stating that he'd (Nicalis) like to bring Spelunky and some other game to Wii U over a game like Fez (because of that Phish guy's alleged arrogance). Perhaps he just meant assisting in distributing/e-publishing? I don't know. I just remember reading about it on GoNintendo earlier this year and it gave me a smidgeon of hope.
