Why not sign up for a (free) account?

Wait, isn't the name of this game just simply "CrossworDS?"

@GameDadGrant Seems like both are used? Confusing.

Edited though, CrossworDS seems in use more.

Thanks for the review! Seems like that big cursor is the only major issue.
Are DS games on the eShop? This would be perfect.

Whatever you do, don't mistake this game for this one:

There are two games with the same name?!

Gamerankings and Metacritic both have this one listed as CrossworDS, so I think it will suffice.

@Zero Yup. I suspect it's because Nintendo can't trademark "CrossworDS" because it's too much of a common word.

Good work, Wrath. Nice to hear your thoughts on a pretty conventional game.

Sounds like the sort of game I could get my Mother in Law. She's got a DS she never uses and loves these sorts of puzzles.

MY REVIEW WAS EDITED!!!!!!!!!

Kidding. :p

@kriswright
Thanks kris!

One more thing I was thinking about adding to my review was that I originally discovered this game in 2008 through one of the Nintendo Channel demos. This is the 2nd game (along with Picross 3D) that I probably would not have bought when I did if it wasn't for the demo. Nintendo needs to do WAY more of this. But I hear the Nintendo Channel doesn't even exist anymore so......

@ploot

DS games are not in the eShop, but you can download Crosswords Plus on 3DS!

Good review Matthew. I'm not really a crossword fan but it's nice to have these kinds of games on Nintendo portable systems, especially with that useful handwritten character recognition.

It's cool the game features more than just the standard crossword puzzle since it also has Word Search and Anagrams. That automatically makes the game more appealing to me!

Huh, that's too bad they didn't provide the option of using the d-pad for scrolling. Such a simple, optional, solution would have gone a long way!

Do way more of what? There are demos on the Wii U eShop and 3DS eShop of both retail and digital games.

Sounds like this is a lot like Crosswords Plus!, which I really enjoy. The biggest difference is this is in book form (which I might have preferred for Word Searches) versus Plus! is in regular form.

@roykoopa64
Thanks roykoopa! I PM'd you back.

@ludist210
The Wii U has demos? That's great! I don't have a Wii U yet or 3DS yet, but that's good to hear. The reason I said that is because traditionally Nintendo was so resistant to demos. I'm glad I didn't put it in my review then. :)
