If it makes you feel better - I laughed at your joke

@Tranquilo
Agreed - but it is what it is... oh well.

Got my first SSD on my desktop. It's awesome. Just for Windows at this moment, may move Bioshock over there, but it's night and day difference in boot up.

It's an improvement, but posting something to Miiverse is still going to be much slower than it should be.

@Kal-El814

How do we know? Or is this only improving game start up/quit times?

@-JKR- Hah. Play Year Walk, Ridiculous Fishing or The Room and come back and say that shit. You can play those while waiting for your Wii U to grow a beard loading the main menu. :p
I keep hearing about Year Walk, Year Walk, Year Walk all over the place, I need to try that game out apparently it sets a new high bar for artsy fartsy iOS adventure games.

I miss the days when all systems did was play games, so much simpler...

Yeah. I've got mixed feelings about that. I did love the simplicity of yesteryear, but I also enjoy all the new modes, features and options of today. I'm just greedy I guess, I WANTS IT ALL!

Hey, some cartridge games still had load times. Sim City on the SNES had some epic load times as it generated worlds.

Well yeah, but c'mon. Games like that were the exception, not the rule!

Hah, sure, artsy fartsy. That's what it's about. Riiiiight. ;) Wear headphones. Play in the dark at night by yourself.

@VofEscaflowne

App switching time is comparable to Miiverse switching time for me, I think it's a safe assumption. Would love to be wrong.

Looks like a decent improvement. It still could be better, but I'll take it.

You must have missed my word "generally" which indicates that of course there are a few (very few, percentage wise) exceptions however the vast majority is total garbage. :)

Of course exceptions always exist.

Update should be available tomorrow! Nintendo mentioned there was going to be network maintenance on Monday. Plus Nintendo said Wii U Virtual Console would be up and running the day after the update, and Excite Bike has been confirmed for Tuesday.

Load times... buh-bye!

@Wellsy529Correct, the date is NOT confirmed, but everything adds up. April is almost up, network maintenance (confirmed), and Excite Bike release date of Tuesday (confirmed).
