Most of us North American Wii U owners already got our 30˘ Balloon Fight download for Nintendo's 30 years, 30 days, 30 cents program. But when do we get our hands on the rest? Well, now you know.

Balloon Fight (NES) - From Wed, 1/23 to Thu, 2/21
F-ZERO (SNES) - From Wed, 2/20 to Thu, 3/21
Punch-Out!! Featuring Mr. Dream (NES) - Wed, 3/20 to Thu, 4/18
Kirby's Adventure (NES) - From Wed, 4/17 to Thu, 5/16
Super Metroid (SNES) - From Wed, 5/15 to Thu, 6/13
Yoshi (NES) - From Wed, 6/12 to Thu, 7/11
Donkey Kong (NES) - From Mon, 7/15 to Tue, 8/13

Can't wait to replay Super Metroid on the GamePad!

Cool. I can't wait for Super Metroid. I'll also get F-Zero and Donkey Kong for sure. I have Super Punch Out and Punch Out Wii, so I can't see buying the original again for any price if it isn't the Tyson version, which will never happen.

Surprised F-Zero and especially Super Metroid are coming out so "quickly". Would have thought they'd save at least one for last. Will get both, though. Own them on Wii VC but would like the updates.

Too bad you can't buy these if you don't have a Wii U.

2 SNES games kill it, no surprise. I will buy both, no surprise.

Maybe on Punch Out.

For 30 cents, I'll buy them all...except for maybe Yoshi. Didn't really care for it on the NES or 3DS VC...couldn't we get, I dunno, Yoshi's Cookie or Wario's Woods instead? Still, happy they're so cheap.

Yeah Yoshi kind of sucks, it's the only one up there that I'm literally like "30 cents? I'd rather buy an Airhead." The rest I will probably grab up.

Once I buy Punch-Out!! I'll have all three games available to me on my Wii U and it will give me an excuse to finally beat them all.

I'll also take the opportunity to play through Super Metroid for the second time.

If I download any Wii U VC games and then xfer my Wii stuff over - will those VC games and other Wii game saves get overwritten?

@Smerd No. Stuff you download from the Wii U eShop will be accessible from the Wii U menu, and stuff you transfer from the Wii will be accessible in Wii Mode.

*HIGH FIVES ALL AROUND*

I wasn't sure I liked Yoshi when I got it in the Ambassador Program, but after spending some time with it, I grew to dig it. It's an interesting and unique puzzler, and one I wouldn't have tried if not for getting it for "free." I'm glad I had the opportunity to check it out. Fun game is fun!

@GameDadGrant

Hey, same here. Yoshi is a game I would have never given a second thought. Hell, I wouldn't even had paid .30 cents for it. Just like you, I tried the game out and I've actually played the game for many hours on my 3DS. Fun little puzzle game.

Now, as far as these VC trial titles are concerned, I'm really not excited about any of them. Even for .30 cents, which is nothing, I honestly have no desire to buy any of these games. The only one I might buy is Super Metroid. Though I do own it on the Wii, I have never played any of the original Metroid games. I might splurge for this title and maybe the DK one, but only if it has all 4 stages included.

Same here. At first glance I went 'Meh' but later on when I was on the tram going into city for the Wii U event ( I think ) I booted it up and had a blast. It's a great little game and there is no reason not to get it.

i will be buying all of these because 30cents.... but realistically, I am probably only going to play f-zero and super metroid.

I love the idea of the vc on wii u and i am so happy it has miiverse support as well as pro controller support.

Yoshi rules. All y'all have no taste. Overall, this is a decent list. The quality varies, but there are no stinkers unlike the 3DS ambassador games.

Also, Nintendo is offering my favorite game of all time for 30 cents. Super Metroid is a fucking steal at that price.

Let me rephrase: Yoshi is not bad. It's just not my cup of tea.

At 30 cents each, there is no reason not to buy them. I'm sure, if nothing else, the kids will enjoy the extra content. I will definitely be playing through a couple myself, too.

I remember getting Yoshi way back in '95 or so for Christmas. It was kind of a bonus game ol' Santa got me along with the SNES. I remember enjoying it then, but it made me a little sad to think that the NES was dying out, and I remember feeling bittersweet about that when this Yoshi music was playing. It was the end of an era! Weird memories...

Super Metch is my personal favorite as well! It dethroned OoT a year ago when I redid my top games.
