    Super C!

    ...is this one actually that good? My youthful memories of it are conflicted.

    Super C is awesome! No Konami Code, but you got another one for 10 lives. And the game itself is harder than the first one.

    So yeah, hardcore. But great. And dat music

    The Cave looks sick as well, here's a great and honest video review if youre interested

    My memories of Super C aren't conflicted. I've just forgotten everything about it. Wait, is this the NES game or the GBA game? Isn't the NES one on the Contra 4 cart?

    I have it in Contra 4. It's held up pretty well, I think, and it plays about as well as Contra 1. The behind-the-back stages are replaced with overhead ones (similar to Contra 3's).

    Guess I'll nab Balloon Fight again, mainly for the gumball-cheap price.

    @TriforceBun The control in the overhead stages isn't totally botched like it is in Contra 3 though

    Super C is absolutely amazing. If you like Contra on the NES, think of it as a full-length expansion to Contra.

    @GelatinousEncore The overhead control in Super C is more "traditional", but I actually prefer the overhead controls in Contra III. They're a little harder to understand at first, which isn't helped by the game itself not explaining them at all, but when you get the hang of it you have more freedom of movement/control in Contra III's overhead levels.

    Speaking of Super C's handheld VC release, I have no idea why Konami still hasn't brought the original Contra to either Virtual Console yet. It makes no sense

    This is the NES game. Both the original Contra and Super C are unlockable in Contra 4.

    I freaking LOVE Super C. Such a great game. Too bad multiplayer isn't available for 3DS Virtual Console games (still!). I'll likely be playing this one solo, anyway though, tbh.

    Not sure if I'm gonna download the game though. I might save that one for a rainy day. I'll get the Brain Age demo for sure, though.

    Nothing for me this week. Well, I'm going to get The Cave eventually for sure, but not yet. I just downloaded La-Mulana finally and I'm really digging that, so I don't need to download another game yet.

    EDIT: Forgot to mention that I'm getting Balloon Fight, duh. I don't think there's any game that's not worth 30 cents. Still can't believe they're gonna sell Super Metroid for 30 cents...

    Picked up The Cave and Balloon Fight....good week for me. I'll probably grab Super C on 3DS at some point in the future, that's a great game.

    Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars is on the eShop now, and is priced at $29.99 - just in case anyone wanted to know.

    Balloon Flight for 30 cents, guess I'll be getting that as well as all the other 30 cent games. Might download The Cave as well.

    I got Balloon Fight last night, and I'll probably buy every $0.30 game (Yoshi is the only one I really didn't care for). I'll get the Brain Age demo and I'll download The Cave at some point (but I'm swamped as it is right now, so it's on my wish list).

    Is anyone NOT getting Balloon Fight? I'm tempted to skip it, I don't actually like the game that much. Didn't put much time into it on the Ambassador release at all either. I could tell myself "well this time, I can play 2 player mode" but that would be fooling myself.

    @Guillaume
    I bought it, but I doubt I'll play it more than a few times. I mainly just wanted to try out the Wii U VC. If they had done a better game first and Balloon Fight second I probably would've skipped it.

    I also bought Balloon Fight last night. The last time I played it was in Animal Crossing 10 years ago, and I forgot how unforgiving this game is! Still, the game is super fun, and the Balloon Trip mode is as addictive as ever.

    Also, I find it funny that a simple NES game from 1985 is 35MB. That's bigger than Ocarina of Time!

    @Guillaume

    I can understand not buying it if you already have it on the 3DS. But what I don't understand is how you cannot like Balloon Fight. It's a classic, dude!

    I think Balloon Fight's pretty alright, actually, one of the better super-early NES games IMO. I probably won't play it more than a handful of times, but 30 cents is pretty much nothing.

    @Guillaume

    It's only $0.30. Sure it isn't the best game in the world, but it's decent for an old NES game.

    @Guillaume I'm not a huge fan of Balloon Fight, and I thought about skipping it since I have it on 3DS, but hell, it's 30 cents, I don't think I can pass it up at that price. I mean, if I buy all seven of the games (which I probably will), it'll cost me a little over two bucks over the course of seven months. I think I can swing that.

    For 30 cents I'll download and play Balloon Fight for the very first time. So there's no fine print here?? A select game will be on sale for 30 cents for 30 days and that's that?
