Alright quick version before I head to bed: - Expanded Miiverse functionality (Smartphones and Communities) - WiiU VC with off-screen play and deals for those of us who have them already on Wii. AND GBA games! (Stache! ) - New Mario - New Mario Kart. - New party game - New Yoshi - Fire Emblem x Shin Megami Tensei (somewhere in Chicago, Zero just made a real sticky mess) - New Zelda - Wind Waker HD?! - Xenoblade 2?!? Holy crap.

HD Wind Waker? This has to be a dream... It looks sooooo nice. Pretty cool Direct, it got really exciting towards the end.

That Windwaker Reborn looked amazing, will double dip. I think after this Nintendo Direct Wii U is going to do just fine.

HD Wind Waker made my life, seriously. But lol, people wanted them to announce these games sooner, and even the ones they showed footage of don't even have official titles. "New Yoshi game from developer of Kirby's Epic Yarn", "new title from Monolith Soft", and "new party game from developer of Wii Party". Not surprised that games that were only mentioned don't have titles, but I think they should stick with "New 3D Mario Action Game". Rolls of the tongue pretty well, if you ask me. Seriously though, this was a great Nintendo direct. GoodFeel's Yoshi game, Wii U Virtual Console, Megaten X Fire Emblem, Monolith's game, Wind Waker HD? Pretty awesome announcements IMO.

If they added those missing dungeons, I'll rebuy Wind Waker.

This was a great Nintendo Direct, I imagine a lot of these titles will be names and shown in all their glory at E3. I just hope they have some surprises left.

@anon_mastermindIf Tingle translations cost 5 rupees I'll think about it. The remake looks gorgeous, but looks were never part of Wind Waker's problems.

@warerareThey do. At the very least they have Retro. They know they need to bring it at E3 this year to get any attention with the new Xbox and likely the new PS being revealed.

HD Wind Waker...awesome. So getting that game again. Didn't see anything, sadly, and IGN just has some short articles on each. "Wind Waker HD has great lighting!" *no pics found* :( Paying $1 to unlock my VC games feels strange. Still playing catch up with articles.

The fact that Game Boy Advance are coming to a console makes the idea of games being transferable from handheld to console even more glaring, but of course not happening. Sigh.

@Guillaume http://www.nintendo.com/nintendo-direct/archive/01-23-2013/ I missed the first five minutes because I was staring at the announcement page. But the archive has it so I'll watch those first five minutes now.

It's pretty safe to say Retro isn't working on the new Zelda, seems like it will be the Zelda team again. The fact that they are rethinking Zelda concepts or whatever it is they said sounds pretty welcome. Making the game less linear and allowing dungeons to be completed in different order is also quite nice. Not sure about the hints at a multiplayer though. I'm thinking we could see a Mario Galaxy like two player mode, where someone controls Navi and can help out during battles and stuff.

Alright, delayed reactions: - @ paying again for VC games, and at "one NES game a month for 6 months". - Wonderful 101 looks fucking fantastic, I can't wait! - Wii Party looks fun. - The Yoshi's Epic Yarn game is really, really pretty. I hope it's good, and I'd rather have the possibility of dying this time around. Some challenge. - Monolith's game looks as great as expected. - I guess the whole "re-license your VC games" means they'll never attempt to de-ghetto-ize Wii Mode. A bummer.

Checking out the video on Nintendo's website. That looks good. Almost claymation like. Really wish we could see it in motion. Hopefully the Gamepad will help fix some of the issues. As it looks like they are going back to clean up the environments, instead of just a straight HD resolution hike, hopefully they can pull a OoT 3D. The inclusion of the missing dungeons would be nice too. Won't hold out for that though. That new Xeno game...GOD DAMN.
