Hoping Nintendo doesn't announce Revelations again since Wii U Daily and others just announced it today. Releasing May 21st

Oh boy, I'm excited. Nothing can get me hyped more than upcoming Nintendo news. The Wii U Virtual Console and/or one new game announcement would be enough for me.
This is what I'm expecting. The lack of VC is a big hole in the eShop right now. As for games, I think Yoshi's Land might make an appearance finally.

The Wii U needs to move a lot of units for Nintendo to reach their targets before the end of the quarter, and announcing VC stuff isn't what's going to help them achieve that goal. The VC means a lot to us, but only to us. And we already have Wii Us.

@Guillaume
Well, the Iwata tweet about "services" would imply something about the VC I think. If not, maybe TVii, but that's already out. Maybe Miiverse is getting updated. Hm.

Nintendo has purchased the rights to the franchise, and is working with Atlus.

@Guillaume

What about the people who bought Wiis and own a bunch of VC games, but haven't made the jump to Wii U yet? Tying the Wii Shop Channel together with the eShop and adding in the functionality to play VC games on the Gamepad could snag those people.

@Secret_Tunnel

Yeah, VC on GamePad would be awesome. I feel for you dudes.

This is 8 AM central, right? No way am I waking up for this. Will have to see the aftermath.

I think they may date the announced games that have no dates yet, and hopefully they announce at least one new game. For the services part, we might see something about the new Virtual Console.

You're not a true Nintendo fan.

@Secret_Tunnel

Buying a $350 console to play games your current console can already play perfectly and with less hassle seems irrational to me.

Anyway, it is not a selling point for a significant number of people.

Was the VC advertised effectively in America? It seems like it wasn't here in Europe. At best it was a bulletpoint on a list of things the Wii could do.

With good marketting and GamePad functionality, maybe the Wii U version could attract people. Good marketting isn't really present for the system at all though yet.

I'm going in this with very little hype. They'll probably announce one new game that I'll look forward to getting and a trailer to a game that I already planned on getting. 30 minutes, tops.

You expecting BOMBS to drop tomorrow?!

Sure hope you're right.

@deathly_hallows
No way son. Too soon for that I think. I'd love to be wrong though.

I think Nintendo learned a pretty harsh lesson with the 3DS, both from a pricing and games release point. I hope that they will give us a one or two big game reveals, even if they are a year away. Anything to show us that the WiiU will be active and worth the price of admission.

Wouldn't that be something they'd save for E3?

Does Nintendo save stuff for E3 anymore? Info-wise?

I actually expect them to at least talk about the miiverse app we will be getting for smart phones

Smash Bros sneak peak. Great way to build hype for the Wii U.

@Abdooooo
That does seem likely actually.
