"Mr Iwata will reveal new games for #WiiU in a new #NintendoDirect on 23/01"
"This time, the plan is a bit different from a regular Direct, in that I'll be talking about what kind of Wii U titles and services Nintendo is developing." - Satoru Iwata
NCL - 11pm Jan 23rd NOE - 2pm Jan 23rd NOA - 9am EST Jan 23rd
I'll keep my usual crap-colored glasses on and expect them to say very little beyond the recent list of quarter 1 release list. It's easier to deal with the pain! Having said that, I'd be so much happier to be wrong. Please, prove me wrong!
@DeputyVanHalen Which is potentially even more exciting. It could mean big news. But I've been on this roller coaster before, so I'd better simmer down!
@VickiL Well I'm conflicted. We presumably know Nintendo's first half of the year schedule and I'd be shocked if they announced anything huge coming in the second half or later before E3. At this point, what I'd actually like to see most is more confirmation that the big third parties are taking the Wii U seriously with games that aren't only on the eShop.
Nintendo isn't exactly on my good graces (they haven't been for the better part of two years now). They will have to dig deep before I start giving a crap again.
Hopefully it's actual new stuff and not just confirmations of stuff we know about like Pikmin 3 or whatever else. Give me a reason to buy a Wii U Nintendo!
new Yoshi Island game new mario kart Mario Galaxy 3 Wii U Virtual console lttp remake eshop exclusive maybe a 4 swords online Zelda game Retro's game trailer for Smash bros (yea right)
If he said NEW games then I think he means NEW games. Guessing RE:R will make an appearance though, possibly highlighting platform exclusive features.
I just want ONE good game reveal we know nothing about. That's not a lot to ask for is it?? Something like the rumored Yoshi game would go a loooooong way for me. ONE. GAME. C'MON.
Confirmations of other games would be awesome too. But...that's probably asking for too much.
I really hope this is their beginning of ramping shit up for Wii U though. Seems like their last several systems have done this exact same thing.
Oh boy, I'm excited. Nothing can get me hyped more than upcoming Nintendo news. The Wii U Virtual Console and/or one new game announcement would be enough for me.
