According to a Tweet from Jools Watsham of developer Renegade Kid, there will be a new FPS game coming to the 3DS, possibly by the end of this year.
The game, which is a new intellectual property, was revealed in the first issue of Nintendo Force. According to Watsham, the title could be the first FPS for the Nintendo 3DS. Few other details were revealed, though the game is expected to release sometime in the 2013 holiday season.
There was also news that the game will be playable at PAX East, which takes place this March.
For fans of the DS's Dementium and MOON games, this is great news. What about you? Excited? Not interested? Sound off below!
I doubt RK made that much money from Mutant Mudds, I'm sure it did well for them it's not like Jools is suddenly rolling in dough.
One thing I wonder about M O O N 3DS, are they going to redo the prerendered cut-scenes? Because if not they're ironically going to look a lot worse than the actual game. Also, I really hope they spend some time on the character models, thing like the pre-baked reflection of the sun (that is still there when they're underground) on the astronaut's visors are going to look really weird in (relative) hi-res. The 3DS has enough power to make reflective surfaces actually reflect stuff, just saying. Also, the moon-rover thing has like 4 polys, they should make a new model for that as well.
They're dirt cheap! That's what I'm saying, if he spent all that money on those things he'd likely be dead on both accounts.
(To be honest I'm basing my knowledge of pricing on several books I've read, not personal experience. And I suppose costs could have gone up significantly since the people in the books did those things.)
