The Annual RFN Telethon for Child's Play - This Saturday! ($500 to force me to play Majora's Mask))
News reported by

For the third year, RFN will be podcasting live on November 10th to raise money for charity. The more people donate, the more tiers are unlocked and the longer the event is.

In past years, I've usually been unable to listen live, but the recorded podcast has always been a lot of fun to listen to. This year, obviously, I had to make myself available for this grand event! I will be doing the first hour with the regular RFN crew, and then helping Michael TYP Cole with live Nintendo Radio Trivia (guess the game, win prizes!).

Right after that, at 4p EST, NWR's own Famicast crew will be podcasting about games in Japan with none other than Giant Bomb's 8-4 Play crew!

Craig Harris has confirmed his participation, though in which segment, I don't know yet. Many more guests will be revealed over the coming days so if you listen to gaming podcasts, keep checking the thread to see if an idol of yours will show up! And if you don't listen to gaming podcasts, well, maybe you'll discover podcasters you like.

You can donate right now, and keep in mind, while we want as many people as possible listening to RFN Live, we'll try and record them to release them in podcast form in the future so no one misses out on anything. So donate!

Why not sign up for a (free) account and create your own content?
Tim, is one is for you: we're at $5500, and if we make it to $6000, I'll have to play Majora's Mask. I'll be forced to.

Congratulations on hitting your goal!

I was hanging out in the chat for the first couple of hours. And I was also going to call in during the Prime segment and piss on everyone's parade, but then the guy from Retro was a special guest, so I dodge-rolled out of the attack. :(

Are YOU the secret donation guy who gave hundreds of dollars?

So 148 people donated $6328, that 158% our goal! Thanks everyone.

I don't know about my "performance", I don't think I was at the top of my game, but it was fun anyway.

I really wish I could have listened in. I'm really enjoying your work on RFN.

It was a traveling day for me and so missed it all. Boooooo.

Congrats on the goal being demolished.

Now Guillaume changes his name by deed poll to "Childs Play" and cashes the check!

Great success! What I heard was fun too. I didn't get to listen to as much as I wanted. I was working on some charity website stuff and needed to unplug to concentrate. :(

Some time in January, we're going to do a live episode and we'll do a Retroactive (game club, basically, we all play the same game) discussion.

Excellent! And with any luck, you'll take what you learned last time around to guide you on your true path this time
