    Why not sign up for a (free) account?

    Haha, the GB version of Dr Mario. I think the price is nuts, $4 for an inferior version of the DSiware game. It WOULD have 2p over it, except it doesn't.

    @Guillaume

    True, plus the DSiWare version is in color. How much does that version cost?

    $5. Maybe someone who grew up with the GB version of the game like I did, prefers the music in that version, or something...pretty damn unlikely.

    This release is just superfluous, and the $1 Mario tax boggles the mind.

    Now we're talking. I'm impressed with the eShop this week. I'm not too keen on the price of those retail games. They should be no more than $20 in my eyes but a solid lineup AND download content.

    Wow I'm glad I never pulled the trigger on the retail release of Cave Story 3-D, $10 is a great price.

    Um, now that we're getting retail games on the eShop.... where's Nano Assault?

    Is the DLC for Theatrhythm done? Are there more songs coming anymore?

    Most of those downloadable puzzlers are $5 on the DSi Shop.

    Cool, I hope that Dream Radar is fun.

    Definitely downloading Cave Story, even though I already own it on WiiWare, DSiWare and Steam.

    Dr. Mario for $4 is ridiculous, especially when the DSiWare version is only $5 (with color and twice as many screens!), and the WiiWare version is available through Club Nintendo right now.

    This is a pretty solid lineup this week. Retail games, 3D eShop games, a VC game, DLC, DSiWare, a demo -- something for everyone.

    It's not the same game visually as the retail release.

    @GameDadGrant

    As far as I know, that's it. We got everything that Japan got. Square Enix's original goal was to release 50 tracks, and I think we got 53...

    Pretty good week. It baffles me that they put up Dr. Mario when a fair share of people should be getting their fix with the Club Nintendo reward. Whatever.
    Crosswords Plus is just too expensive. I can't justify 30 bones towards a crosswords game, I thought there was a precedent for the $20 price point after CrossworDS and NY Times Crosswords which were 20 bucks a piece on the DS, in physical form. Guess not

    And, a chess game for 2 bucks? I'll pick it up if it's halfway decent.

    @deathly_hallows
    It's just a 3D version of the DSiWare game.

    In other news, Nicalis is on some kind of roll...two eShop games in one month. NightSky hits October 25 for $9.99.

    Sure, but that's what the retail game was too?!

    @anon_mastermind

    $30 is more expensive than CrossworDS was, but... now it's got some 3D graphics (whoop-dee-doo,I know) but also StreetPass features and DAILY DLC. That comes free. So...not saying it's justified or anything, but at least there's more value there. At least, arguably. Maybe?

    @ludist210

    Nice! Nicalis usually takes FOREVER getting their games out the door.

    Not really. The retail version had all-new graphics. The eShop game looks like the original game. But in stereoscopic 3D.

    Different version. The retail release was fully remade, with polygons and everything. This game retains the original sprite look, but they do add some sort of 3D effect.

    No, the retail game was this:

    2.5D polygonal and shit.

    I agree that daily DLC adds value, but it still should be 20 bucks IMO. This is not how you fight the smartphone market.

    @Guillaume, @anon_mastermind

    You're too slow!

    @anon_mastermind

    Well, I won't argue - I'd rather pay $20 than $30. But oh well. It's a great game of crosswords, and hey! I'm getting the original version of Donkey Kong to boot, so...yay?
