Shirley says: This comic was an inspired attempt at writing a strip after one of my favourites, Jillian Tamaki's SuperMutant Magic Academy--a kind of Harry Potter-world of mutant teens going the motions of love, longing, adolescence, and all that. As many of Tamaki's readers have noticed, the humour is really accurate, and bang-on. I've learned a lot from her work about precision and economy in comics, and am trying to experiment more with that aspect. This is the strip that inspired 'Sea Change'.

Enjoy!

Andrew says: I can't wait for the Wii U. For obvious reasons.

On another note, with the release of Sea Change we are finally caught up, so everything from this point forward will be brand spanking new! But this also means that there may be a bit more time in between releases now. Especially since Shirley is busy getting ready to leave for research in Switzerland and I am busy doing lots of important um...

um...

Actually I have a ton of free time, but I can't draw for squat.

My favorite so far! I like the pensive thoughtfulness and the way it leads up to the punchline, as well as the tile background hint in panel 2. Hope to see more!

Nice payoff! Now that's what I call a comic strip! Eh?! Eh?!

In all honesty, that strip has made my day. I think I'll show this one to my friends to see if they like it enough to check the comics out.

You guys are doing a very well done job. I wish the best for Cloud Chasers.

You forgot #3. Dave aka Bunker Man. Negative World comics are chock full of Zero family groupers! We'll just have to adopt Paul.

We always have a need for you! Someday Negative World will be the hub for video game webcomic greatness and you will get to say that yours came first!

Hey all. Thanks for the kind words of encouragement. I think this one was my favourite one to do, mostly because I got to draw a bathroom, which I've never done before..

It's taken me a while to get back on NW, what with all the hullabullo of relocating to a new country, but I look forward to coming back regularly from here on. I'm liking everyone's work, and believe in the power of comics. :)

Keep at it, and maybe we can collectively make NW home to some of the best webcomics around ;)

I have enjoyed every one of these and their classy looks and content. They feel like they should be in the New Yorker or something.
