I can't recall exactly, but I believe this particular comic was made as a sort of one-off before we decided to do a full on webcomic.

You will probably notice that the main character and his girlfriend (yes, she is his girlfriend, um... yeah, we're trying to figure out how to establish character relationships within the comics themselves) look a lot different than they do in the logo. We went through some changes before we decided on the "final" versions of the characters, so the versions in this comic are already a bit outdated.

Then again, as explained in the comic announcement, this is all basically a work-in-progress at the moment, so I'm not sure that anything can be called "final" quite yet. But isn't that what life is, just one big 'ol work-in-progress? Does anything ever really stop being a work-in-progress?

Anyway, I suppose you can look at this more as the demo, and the retail version will begin with the next comic? Makes sense to me.

Thanks for the warm welcome, and pointers on how to make this thing better. I feel really lucky to have the chance to contribute a comic to the site and will try to keep things regular :)

DrFink, I just mentioned to Andrew yesterday that it would be fun to do an anthology or zine or something with them along the line.

Thanks for the great ideas, Pogue. I like the idea of playing with panel borders, and that's definitely something I'll try to experiment with in later ones.

Anand, I agree that quiet desperation and existential angst can make for some great laughs.

Davoid, yes, we skyped earlier in Montreal. Nice talking to you then.

Zero, I think we have met before. Just a hunch.

Ok, for the time being, I'm looking forward to seeing what all is ON this site. Andrew has told me a lot about Negativeworld, so it's interesting to get the chance to be here myself.

Tiny bit of advice for this newcomer whom I may or may not have met at some point before. If you want to refer to something someone said, just click the "reference" link at the bottom-right of their post. It will create an automatic thing in your post that shows their name and it is a link to their post so people can click it instantly see what you are referring to. Of course, it gets a little bit trickier referencing, but it's the same idea... you can just keep doing it. I think there is some limit where it starts to break down, but it is a pretty high limit.

@Bescherelle See, it looks like this! Now you can click your name and see that I am referring to that post. Of course, you already knew that, in this case...

This is neat! I like the concept and the general "atmosphere" of the strip already. Keep up the good work.

I am wondering what happened to "Breath to Images" though..?

@TriforceBun GOOD QUESTION. My brother was on a bit of a vacation in California for awhile so that delayed things a bit I'm sure, but he has been back for a few weeks now so he has no excuses. But my own involvement in that is kind of minimal, other than submit ideas to him that he mostly thinks are terrible, I haven't been doing much there. It's really his comic.
