We have created a webcomic called: The Cloud Chasers
August 29, 2012, 07:22:31
Hey everybody, we have started up a webcomic called The Cloud Chasers! We will be updating with new comics soon enough, but until then, check out our spiffy logo and comic description! And please feel free to use this thread to discuss our webcomic in general, both now and in the future. (Each specific comic will have its own discussion thread.)

This is a collaboration between myself and Shirley. We're kind of coming up with ideas and working on storyboards and such together, and then Shirley takes her stunning art skills and creates the actual comics.

We are both pretty new to this webcomic thing. This is all basically a work in progress at the moment, and it may take us awhile to hash out exactly what we are going for here. We have been working on some ideas and characters and basic themes and the likes but we decided that the best way to figure things out was to just start making comics and see where it goes. It should be an interesting journey.

The basic idea that we are shooting for is something that is surreal, clever, touching at times, and hopefully funny too. We also want to capture something different than the typical video game webcomic that generally focuses on current gaming news and such. With this in mind, we decided that we won't even feature real systems and games in our webcomic, but instead will try to capture the "essence" of video gaming.

Are you excited? We are!

First comic should be up tomorrow (or more accurate, today... it's late here.)

We have 4ish ready but will be spacing them out a bit. Tons more in the works beyond that.

So long as Cloud Chasers comes out on a more regular basis than Battle Chasers did, I'm on board.

I like the art. Very sharp.

I dunno about that collaborator, though...

Haha, what a blast from the past! Just play DarkSiders, instead. And Warhammer.

This comic is most likely either dead or will come back when you least expect it as something a bit different. We'll see.

BUT... if you were a fan of the lovely Shirley's artwork you can check out her new sketch blog right here and say nice things to her. Subscribe to it, even!

You may even stumble upon a few sketches of yours truly! Like this one where I look bald...

This is my favorite thing she has up though...

I think it was supposed to be like that is where the picture fades out...

They're flying swimmers ffs.

Ps. She has a nice art style. I can't do that style, reminds me of Ghost World.
