    Why not sign up for a (free) account?

    Fun fact: I've been waiting for Metal Slug X to release since May 2008.

    I was curious to see if there'd be any NSMB2 DLC yet. I guess Nintendo talking about releasing it only after getting feedback was legit, yo.

    Still waiting on FFIV's Battle 2 for Theatrhythm.

    Kinda cool to get a new Wii VC game, and a classic at that. I'd nab it if I wasn't already satisfied with the Slug Collection on Wii.

    @Guillaume Buy Anthology, man. I'd bet it goes for like 5 bucks sealed these days.

    @GelatinousEncore Yeah but it has like 8 control options and none of them are ideal. It suffered a bit from "early Wii game, needs motion controls!!!?" syndrome.

    @Zero

    This.

    I actually already have the anthology, but X and 3 are worth buying separate.

    I use the Wiimote NES style for Anthology, and the only waggle is to throw grenades. It's not too bad, but I see what you mean

    On the Virtual Console version, I think you can use the Classic Controller. Which is great for this kind of game.

    I have the Anthology too, and the Gamecube controller actually works really well for it (the analog stick in particular works just fine for movement), but I still want to get the PS2 version someday. That version apparently has better load times, which is not common for PS2 versions It also has better controls, thanks to it not forcing motion controls on the player, and it also has hitflashes intact in the games.

    @AnandLooks like a piece of poop in the video. Meh week for me overall, but I am due to download Metal Slug game. What is the best 2 player co-op Metal Slug game on the VC right now?

    I agree wholeheartedly with this, VC is the way to go, I'm really anal about games controlling properly and using the correct inputs they were designed for.

    @Anand
    It kind of looks like a wireframe F-Zero. I will probably be getting both downloads. Enjoy up! Games are pretty much impulse purchases for me because of their quality.

    Oh my god this, times ten. It was cool for the first day or so...

    I may grab MS-X myself actually.

    Whatever floats people's boats I guess. I'd rather deal with waggle for grenades and have every game in the franchise (minus 7 of course) in one disc (one ridiculously cheap disc)

    I use the GCN controller. It's sort of lame having to use the stick for a 2-D game, but it's not like the arcade cabinet had a giant D-pad on it anyway. Plus, R for Grenades works really well.

    If you're going to just get one or two Metal Slug games, though, I'd suggest 3, then X.
