Hey guys! A new podcast, finally. This episode, Mr_Mustache, Cryojin & Zero are taking turns to talk about everything E3 related, with NinSage & DrFinkelstein.
Then, the crew discusses "The dangers of hype", "Nintendo's secrecy" and "what Retro might be up to"!
As usual, the theme music comes from Negative World's owner and dictator, Zero. The interlude's musics are taken from two Ubisoft games: Red Steel 2 and the upcoming Rayman Legends.

I'm still in the hospital for OD'ing on skyward hype. I'm ready to do cool things instead like play through every Ogre Battle. Where were you in chat while this podcast released?!
@cryojin
Nintendo is the man. And we know what a man is.
@zero
I don't think their reasons for not taking games like NSMB Wii online have changed. Too much input lag. The backlash is coming and coming hard.
I thought you did a fine job. I didn't notice any difference in the way this podcast was edited when comparing it to all the rest I've listened to.
Only thing I wish is that we would be back to getting a new podcast ever couple weeks. I guess I will just have to keep listening to RFN's podcasts to meet my needs.
I'm not a fan of the stereo separation between the voices in this episode. It's annoying to listen to, and I sometimes listen with one ear bud only, which I can't do if the podcast is in stereo.
Please, for future podcasts, make the podcast mono! Not only is it easier on the ears, but it cuts the file size in half.
To be fair, it's not like a 50/50 separation, it's more like 70/30 just so we could hear both tracks on both sides just with a slight volume-ratio different. Still, it's noted, You the boss, @canonj.
Actually, I spoke too soon. The second segment has the audio centered.
It's honestly not that big of a deal, and maybe I'm the only one here who doesn't like stereo podcasts, but I thought I should put my opinion out there. The actual content of the podcast is still good, and I appreciate your efforts, Davoid!
Listened to it yesterday and it was another fine podcast. Nice job editing, Davoid! Seems like it is a total pain in the butt and I'm glad somebody is doing it. Thank you! I also agree with canonj about keeping it centered. I listen to way too many podcasts, and almost all of them with just one ear bud, so this can be an issue.
Again, I think this format works pretty well. And for me, being relatively new to these boards, it's fun to put voices to the names I see daily. Well done, gentlemen!
2. What is your most anticipated game based on the E3 showing?
Pikmin 3, although it's not really based on E3, just based on my hopes for the franchise. I am a little worried that it will be Pikmin 2-ish which I didn't like, though. Probably won't wait for reviews to find out though.
3. What was your favorite moment of E3 2012?
Finding out about NintendoLand. I'm really psyched to play this game with my family and get a good showcase of the Wii U tablet uses.
4. What was the show missing for you?
Something new for 3DS. This is why I don't understand why people are mad about not knowing what's coming post-launch for the Wii U. We found out when the 3DS was revealed that Animal Crossing and Paper Mario were coming and by now they are old hat. If those games had been revealed just now, think of how hyped we would be and how much better people would think the conference was.
Instead, I was kind of bored by the games showed for 3DS (which didn't even include Animal Crossing) since we'd known about all of them. I was thinking there would be at least one surprise 3DS game for the holiday. At least we know that we'll get some 3DS reveals soon.
5. What did you think of Nintendo splitting its conferences across several days/events?
I thought it was fine. It did raise my expectations some, especially that there would be some 3DS surprises, but it gave me something to look forward to throughout the week which is a nice addition.
2. What is your most anticipated game based on the E3 showing?
Pikmin 3 despite my deep as a Pikmin 2 underground cave hate for Pikmin 2.
3. What was your favorite moment of E3 2012?
NintendoLand unveil. I expected wii sports 3 kind of cynically. NintendoLand's arcade theme is way better to test out a new system than copying bloody sports. Surprisingly nice graphics too.
(uh...I swear I did not look up at Jargon's post until now)*
Plus, nintendo had the balls to make a spiritual sequel to Pac-Man vs and end their Wii U conference with it. The unwavering nerve..I quivered.
4. What was the show missing for you?
Nothing really. I would have blacked out on 2013 games anyway this time, Nintendo just made things way easier for me. The beginning of the generation is the only place to kick the cycle.
5. What did you think of Nintendo splitting its conferences across several days/events?
It didn't improve the conference itself like everyone thought it would, but that's ok. Seemed to give everyone a bit more breathing room. It was nice to have a little time to speculate on the implications of Miiverse.
Now that you mention it, I did miss Iwata being on stage live and his girly hands.
PS - just what is going on in your avatar?
When my heart becomes brittle, so does my knife. Our feelings are one.
*Jargon and I are actually one as well. My biggest secret is out.
In semi-related news, while digging out NHL '94 from my basement catacombs, I also put aside OGRE BATTLE. YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS. I'll be playing sometime soon! Maybe I'll do it up in September along with Last Story and Radiant Dawn. One summer I was playing "one Day of Animal Crossing, a game of Madden, and a game of NCAA" each and every day, along with other stuff. It was AWESOME. Doing a map of Ogre Battle, a chapter of Radiant Dawn, and a whatever in Last Story is certainly doable. YES!
