Reposted from my story on NinTemple.com ...

As promised, I followed up with the local GameStop manager regarding the release of Pandora's Tower in the North American territory.

The short version is that GameStop is scheduled to being taking pre-orders for Pandora's Tower around June 20th - when The Last Story goes on sale. To hear the whole exchange, check out the latest covert audio recording provided below. Note: As luck would have it, I caught the manager right as he was heading to the bank on his break. Did fate do us a solid? Perhaps...

If that's not confirmation I don't know what is! Rejoice Operation Rainfall! I think this makes us 3 for 3!

Well... it may not be confirmation. Managers tend to like to pretend more than they do. We'll see. It'd be nice to get the final game for sure.

popped in my head as soon as I read the subject...

seriously though even though this had the weaker reviews of the 3 I was originally most interested in it since it seemed thematically similar to Shadow of the Colossus

Pretty exciting. I suppose there are still games coming out for the Wii. Epic Mickey and this.
I was expecting Mario Party 9 to be the last Wii game I buy... Could still be the case, but hey!

From what I hear, the game has been in GameStop's system since August, 2011. When was the game announced for Europe?

It's no confirmation, but it is better than the nothing we've seen so far. I'd say the game has gone from zero chance to some chance, which is a good sign.

@ploot Dragon Quest X too, apparently, although it is also coming out on Wii U as well so I'd probably get it there.

Hmm. I'll talk to my cool GameStop guys "soon."

Cool. Hope it's true. It always looked pretty interesting to me.

All these games should have been announced at last year's E3. Better late than never I guess. Good news.

Interesting news. Very cool if true!

What about that "Dynamic Slash" game that X-Pert and Anand keep going on about? Should we start another Operation Rainfall game for that one?

That's pretty cool. I wasn't too interested in Pandora's Tower, but it does have people who want to play it, so it's good that it'll be coming over.

@GameDadGrant Zangeki no Reginleiv is the final name. I was very disappointed that Operation Rainfall didn't include that game. It seems like the exact kind of game the Wii needs more of; it has 4 player online co-op, (optional) Wii Motion+ support, and has lots of awesome-looking action I still haven't imported it yet, but I will do so eventually.

@X-pert74

Oh, that's the final name? Hm, I guess it's not getting localized no matter what. Too bad - the game sounds pretty sweet. The online co-op alone is worth noting, especially.

How many other online co-op games are there on Wii? Monster Hunter Tri, and... is Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles - Echoes of Time online for Wii? I know it is for DS, so I'd assume the same would be true for the Wii version.

@GameDadGrant

My heart longs for more online co-op games =(
Just sayin'.

And yes, FFCCEoT (HD 3D Championship Edition) has online co-op. It's even cross-platform DS/Wii!!

@GameDadGrant I'm pretty sure Echoes of Time does support online on Wii, but you can't chat with other people, unlike the DS version. I wonder if Conduit 2 has online co-op? I know it has a lot of online features, but I wonder if they only apply to competitive multiplayer or not.

Conduit 2 did have online co-op...... so to speak.

It was just some lousy maps designed specifically for this mode. Meaning, not much effort at all was put in to them. They are like a fraction of a normal stage's size. Very disappointing to a co-op fiend like myself.

Yes, you can. It's literally a DS game on a Wii disc, so everything in the DS game is in the Wii game. The only difference is that the Wii game has a Mii mask in it.

I thought the co-op modes were offline-only, unless you mean the team games.

Did the game cost the same on both platforms? If that was the case, they probably should have.

@Mop it up I had a friend over and played it locally.

@GameDadGrant Yes, the game was the same MSRP on both platforms. $30, I believe.

Nice detective work. I'll definitely buy Pandora's Tower if it releases here.
