Jeremy Parish gushes about the Game Gear emulation.

Three Game Gear games in one shot is nice. I just hate the fact that this is the last time we'll see it happen.

Wow, lots of Virtual Console stuff this week! They even threw a bone to the Wii! Nice!

Game Gear... hmm. Guess I'll have to take some games for a spin.

EDIT: It should be noted too that there is an update for VVVVVV that fixes some bugs from the original release, too.

Honestly, Game Gear was a pretty crappy handheld. Are any of these games even good? Nintendo is stupid to not put up Kid Icarus of Myths and Monsters this week, it's already out in EU. It would make sense with Uprising's release next week. Not to mention we still don't have Wario Land.

Shinobi is apparently the best of the bunch. Sonic: Triple Trouble is decent, and Dragon Crystal is a rogue-like, soooo... YMMV on that one.

Yeah, got the VVVVVV fix on Tuesday night (or something like that). Flip Mode actually works now!

That's right... I knew it didn't come out TODAY, but I wasn't sure when exactly it got released.

It's pretty cool that the Game Gear emulator offers a bunch of options, but more than anything else, it annoys me that Nintendo doesn't offer such options. Sega can change colors on the Game Gear "system" and add blur or slowdown, but Nintendo can't add in Super Game Boy pallets? Hell, to use the "actual resolution" option in GB games you have to hold down the start button. Game Gear puts in a menu (which makes WAY more sense) AND adds color options.

I might give Shinobi a shot. I hear good things about it.

@rebonack

Ha ha, it is kind of funny how SEGA's games actually offer better and more robust options than Nintendo's... but then they add insult to injury since this all takes place on Nintendo's own system, lol!

We need Anand to get Dragon Crystal and see if it's any good.

According to SEGA, there's a new demo out today too...

Pretty sure that's for Europe. We don't get the Rhythm Thief demo until April.

@Guillaume

Was it just me, or did that game come across very Castlevania-ish? The way the enemies died (and the sound effect when the died) seemed really similar to Konami's long-running franchise.

@GameDadGrant

Our brains must think alike. Scary. Seriously, when I was watching that, I was think Castlevania as well. Even the way the main character moved reminded me of Simon Belmont from Snes Castlevania.

But regardless, the game looks fun. Seriously, I would be foolish to download this game. I have sooooo many games I need to play. I feel bad, cause I would like to try this out, since I never owned any of Sega's systems. I would like to support the game, but honestly, when would I get around to playing it?
