Fashionably late to the party, it's Episode 26 of the Negative World Podcast! Rob (Mr_Mustache), Anand (Anand), and Lewis (Ludist210) join their host, Stephen (DrFinkelstein), in discussing some hot games being played right now such as Mutant Mudds, Radiant Historia, Kirby's Mass Attack, and a whole slew of games from deep in the past from a year known to some as 2005.

Soon after the guys dive into the real meat and potatoes by discussing the Community factor in gaming, Storytelling, RPGs, and Licensed Games!

As usual, the theme music comes from Negative World's owner and dictator, Zero. The music throughout the podcast is taken from a mixed assortment ranging from Okami to Tiny Toons.

You're welcome sir! I really hope everyone enjoys. Both versions of the podcast are up and running both in their direct links and iTunes. It took me a few more days after recording than normal to finish cause I worked more than I normally do. So we'll see how often that has to happen but I assure you I will always be eager to edit and release any episodes I'm hosting.

Be sure to come back with your thoughts!!!

I wanted to add too.... listen till the VERY end of the podcast for something special from one of the guests.

Winning Run was the SECOND Griffey game on the SNES. And it was great. A really fast paced arcadey baseball game. And while Ken Griffey Jr. was the only real person in the game, the teams basically had fake counterparts haha. Randy Johnson was "Bolt Lightning" haha. Classic!

New podcast time!
Will listen........... NOW!

Edit - Ken Griffey Jr. Presents Major League Baseball was the first one for SNES. TSK! I loved that game.

Winning Run was good too, I guess.

YOU FREAKIN' JERK. That better not be the title!!

@ploot

BAH, this is what i meant: Major League Baseball featuring Ken Griffey Jr.

@PogueSquadron

Remember the Moray brothers? Wow! I played as the O's and I can still remember a bunch of the guys. I think Lee Sanders was the 2B? Catcher was Rob Collins, maybe? Curt Van Damme in Center? Anyone want to check?

@Mr_Mustache

It's definitely the title. That shit happens to everyone Rob. It made me laugh but not in an "at you" way. I just liked the way it sounded. Seemed perfect.

@Mr_Mustache

Haha, Moray and Viper Ramirez!! Hahahahaha.

The only other ones I remember off the top of my head Frank Liberty (Frank Thomas I think?) and Denny Rails (Lenny Dykstra).

So classic! It's maybe the best Rare game that you all didn't play.

EPIC intro.

Anand needs to stop telling people he doesn't play games. He's making me look like a gamer.

Speaking of Anand, Hey! I had a Chicken Meximelt today! Was really good!

(the portion I'm referencing was cut out but Anand needs to know)

I just listened to the podcast, and in that time I was able to check my 1AA guys A-K, and then Z-part of "V". Yeah, its long (the podcast and the process.)

@PogueSquadron

Yeah, I DO remember the opening being totally rad. Is there a way to switch which uniform you wear? I wanted to wear black jerseys so bad..

Bonus: MVP Baseball 2004 soundtrack that wasn't featured in the podcast, but was talked about:

Not even my type of music, but solid.
And C'Mon C'Mon was on here WAY before Rescue Me was around. Rad.

@DrFinkelstein
YES! Another member of the Chicken Meximelt army! One day, it shall be on the regular menu...

Good job editing the podcast, Finky!

But I hate the sound of my own voice. I'm gonna do the next podcast entirely with the voice of the lizard shopkeeper in StarFox Adventures.

@Abdooooo
You ARE hardcore, dude! You and Jargon are MK64 BEASTS.

@Anand

Thanks Anand! Your voice is fine. I don't see why you'd hate it. We all sounded just fine.

I dunno. Doesn't everyone kind of hate their own voice? Especially when they sound like a monotone girl?

Posted by

@Anand

I used to be bothered by my own voice but I like it now.

And a monotone girl? Eh, I didn't get that vibe from you.

@Anand

Not monotone.

I think I'll comment as I listen, because the podcast is so unfocused, I forget what was said as soon as Anand decides it's time to go on an aside. -p

Anand: Wouldn't you rather have watched an animated version of Enslaved instead of playing the game, since the gameplay wasn't doing it for you? I mean, if the story is what is going to drive the game, and the gameplay isn't anything special, why tell that story in game form in the first place?

edit - Also, how come you and everyone else are now pronouncing your name AH-nund?
