I'm planning to download both Mutant Mudds and the Mario & Sonic demo (if only because it is free), and I may try Flipper 2.

Oh yay, another 3DS demo!

Mutant Mudds... it will be hard to resist.

Flipper 2? I think that's supposed to be decent.

9 bucks is a lot, but I just got a bunch of 3DS points, so what the hell. I remember that Jools Watsham talked about the first Flipper in a vlog.

Looking forward to trying out Mario & Sonic.

Where the heck are the VC games? On the Wii or the 3DS.

I haven't heard of this Mutant Mudd, but everyone seems pretty excited for it...

Let me know if Mutant Mudd turns out to be good. I'm still playing Shantae, so I can't really justify buying another, similar game.

@kriswright

I think they're fairly different. Risky's Revenge (I'm assuming that's what you're playing) is more of a Metroid-vania game, whereas Mutand Mudds looks more like an old-school Commander Keen game.

@ludist210

Yeah... but they're both retro throwback platformers that use a "jump into the background" gimmick. I totally respect that there's a difference, but right now I think I'd rather finish up Risky's Revenge than get into another platformer. Unless word comes back that Mutant Mudds is just unmissably perfect or something.

I'll be downloading Mutant Mudds eventually... right now too many games... not enough time.

@kriswright
You probably should finish Risky's Revenge before buying another expensive download, but Mutant Mudds is more like Wario Land, an action game in which the playfield has multiple planes. Shantae uses the plane-jumping gimmick more for traversal.

Speaking of plane-jumping, I just tried the Guardian Heroes demo on XBLA. What a weird game.

Speaking of plane-jumping, True Lies.

@TriforceBun

There hasn't been a Wii VC game since August in NA. Might as well pour out a little liquor at this point.
