Awww, thanks for the kind word, guys! I guess I really am involved more in the Community than I even realized. Huh!
Thanks for that though, and I hope it brings more people here somehow.
I'm definitely taking partial credit for Lunker, haha!!
Podcast: I had listened to the first 2 hours at work (minus Zelda stuff), and I don't know if I wasn't paying attention as well, or what, but I was more invested in the final whatever. I would've liked it go to a bit longer; I guess I should start from 0:00 next time!
Thoughts about the Wii U:
If the Vita can be used for the PS4, is there ANY WAY that the 3DS can be used in conjunction with the Wii U? I was hoping somebody would mention this (I don't know enough either way), and I'm still left wondering. I thought that handheld-console interaction was something that folks wanted dearly for so long; why not now? And they're using a touch screen tablet, like a DS or 3DS already has? C'mon!
Thoughts about the tablet controller:
I don't think you mentioned it, maybe because its common sense, but the price would be significantly more if it had the multi touch stuff, yes? I think Gui had a good point though; I think that stuff goes away with the addition of buttons. And if you're "comfortably" doing multi-touch stuff on that screen, you either don't have baby hands, or you've set the tablet down, two things that usually aren't associated with "videogames." I could probably do a lot of stuff with the screen (I can palm a basketball. Whatever.), but I think a 6-year old kid might struggle a bit. Or perhaps I'm hyping up my hands too much. Whatever.
Mrs_Mustache has a stupid iPod that I hate, and dragging and expanding and all that crap is annoying as balls on there. I hope that Nintendo quality shows through and this one is a lot easier with a lot less "keystroke" errors. Okami; its a great game, but nothing is more frustrating thand drawing something you think works, only to have it fail (especially when fishing, ARGH). I don't want this at all on the Wii U.
Is it bad that I'm not super-super excited about the Wii U? I don't if its an age thing, or if its just because we don't have enough information, or because I don't look up stuff, or because I've trained myself over the years NOT to get excited? I don't know. I'm just "..oh, yeah, I'll get it." Like, I feel kinda drone-y. I almost feel ashamed to be thinking this way, both as someone who doesn't feel so excited for Nintendo (no, I'm not getting Sony or MS garb, ugh), but also to be painted/perceived as some sort of mindless follower.
Is anyone else in nearly the same boat as I am?
