Negative World Podcast ENHANCED!!!! - Now on iTunes!

First you were playing with power...

Then you were playing with power, super power...

Now you're listening with ENHANCED power.

Due to popular demand, and because it's just nice to have, the Negative World Podcast is now offering enhanced episodes in .m4a format. We wont be going back and retrofitting the past episodes but starting with the most recent, episode 23, you now can begin downloading the new format. They include chapters dividing up the content into relevant sections as well as adding artwork of some kind to allow you to know what is being discussed. Featured in this first episode is the QR code for the Pushmo Negative World level (as also found in the review thread).

Now you can easily skip a spoiler-ific section of a podcast for instance, and then keep your promise to go back and listen by easily returning to where the conversation began! Of course .m4a isn't playable on all devices (like my HTC Evo for instance), so we will most certainly continue offering .mp3 as well. This is just for those who want it! The enhanced podcast should always be up at some point on the same day as the original format, if not simultaneously.

You can subscribe to the enhanced podcast here.

At that link, click the "Subscribe in iTunes" button on the far right. That's how you'd have to do it at the moment but I submitted it to the iTunes Podcast section so it should show up pretty soon like any normal podcast. Happy Listening!

Now you're listening with ENHANCED power!

Why not sign up for a (free) account?

Oh wow, so many new features!

But tell me, Fink: how much will I have to pay to benefit from chapter stops in my ridiculously interesting and professional-sounding Negative World Podcast?

"At first, I wouldn't subscribe to any podcasts. They were just uninteresting to look at and I was ALWAYS being spoiled. But now, with ENHANCED NEGATIVE WORLD PODCAST, I can't wait to hear all the newest Nintendo gossip. It's THAT EASY."

Oh wow. I used to think subscribing to a podcast had to be a hassle. But with the easy one-click "Subscribe in iTunes" button, no need for a degree in html anymore: literally ANYONE can do it.

This thread is full of "santa-hattage" and full of WiiN!

I must stop this whole thing! Why, for twenty-three episodes I've put up with it now. I must stop the podcast from coming... but how?

But wait, there's more. If you subscribe now you'll get all subsequent podcasts for the low, low price of FREE.

Hmmmm...I never use itunes to listen to the podcasts. I just download them to my desktop and then transfer them to my 3DS to listen to later, usually at work. If I do listen to the podcasts at home I just hit the play button in the podcast's thread. I'll just stick to that. I really don't need anything enhanced like pictures, ect. Its not like I watch the screen while listening to a podcast.

Thanks anyways.

I think the pictures are really just for reference points, because they just signify different chapters right? So if there's a part of the podcast that doesn't interest you, you can skip it and jump to another section.

I just subscribe on iTunes. I feel like that's the most convenient way because I don't have to really do anything. It just comes to me. Bwahaha. The only downside is that I have to use iTunes (which, on my new computer isn't a problem really).

@PogueSquadron @gamewizard65

Yeah, the photos are just visual cues for the chapters. Many podcasts don't even offer mp3 versions. m4a is a traditional podcast format but before we didn't know how to do it. Now we do so it's there to be enjoyed!

Bah humbug. I liked the old, non-fancy-pants-enhanced podcast.

Unsubscribing, de-rating, devaluing, unrecommending.

@grantimusprime

Woah woah woah, wait a minute there! The Classic Negative World Podcast is still being offered to the more old-fashioned podcast connoisseurs!

Surely theres a catch, is this some sort of timeshare deal where we think we are getting free stuff and we really get loaded with sales patter and high fees.

Is this your way of loading me with ads, surely you can't be this generous?

Off again today, no sub jobs this week, so I will listen to this and hit 35 hours in xenoblade. Thanks for the podcast.

Dammit, I was an early adopter of the podcast and already listened to it. Can I get some free GBA games for my trouble?

@rebonack

Yeah. I went back in time and gave you 10, including Metroid Fusion and Wario Ware.

Yeah, I don't think people understand the lengths to which we went to make this happen. I mean, @warerare is right: this is literally too good to be true. We had to rewrite reality itself to make such full-featured podcast and offer it free and, even better yet, free of ads.

I think I might cry, I feel like this is the best gift I could ever get for Christmas.

Thank you.

You guys should put this in the DEALS! thread. Everyone needs to know about how awesome this deal is.

I still think it's too good to be true. There's no such thing as a free lunch -- er, podcast?
