Why not sign up for a (free) account?

Yeah, I'll grab Kid Icarus GB.

And wow, Bonsai Barber is 250 coins? Yeesh. They're really creeping up the coin prices.

Is the GB Kid Icarus generally considered better, worse, same as the original? I actually kind of liked the original, though it wasn't amazing or anything.

Bonsai Barber seems like it could be fun...

Not sure if I really need new games though.

@Zero

Depends. It fixes a lot of what's "wrong" with the original.

So why depends? Depends on if you think those things are actually wrong.

But, yeah, most modern gamers will probably prefer it to the original. I recommend it.

I've always had my eye on Number Battle, now may be time.

Aw man, they raised the coin prices again. Oh well, nothing for me this month anyway.

@Zero

I like the original and the sequel. I think KI2 is more accessible, more intuitive, and more precise though--if you enjoyed the first, you'll probably like this one too.

We're in a recession...

Geesh! Another month of Junk! Come on Nintendo, start offering some good stuff and quit with the crap that's been available forever, like the Yoshi game. Yes, I know that new Wii U owners might not have these games, but that should be taken into acct and a few extra games should be added. Most of the good stuff I already own and have owned like since the Wii days. While good games are offered, I usually already own then.

Now, what about Bonsai Barber? Is this any good or should I just save my coinage? I know its a waste of time asking since more than likely I will not download the game anyways. Still, anyone have this game or played it at someone else's house? I'll lcheck up on reviews. I think I've seen this game offered before and more than likely I've already checked on the reviews. I'm thinking it scores somewhere in the 65-75 range on metacritic.

edit: Yep. just checked out the reviews on Metacritic and the game is averaging a 75, based on 11 reviews. Sounds like the game is actually alright, its just that the reviewers question the $10 price tag. So, I guess for, about 250 Club Nintendo coins, not exactly sure, but I figure its 200-250, I guess that's a fair value. Still, I doubt if I download the game. Mainly cause I really don't need another game right now, plus its not like this game received glowing AAA reviews. Poor Barber Bonsai, nobody want to play with you.

I'll probably download everything this month. Except for Kid Icarus, since I already own it.

I'm not sure about the DS games, but I don't think the Wii games have been offered before. So, at least it's nice that they're rotating a few different games in. Not games I have any interest in, but oh well...

Just played through it and I pretty much agree. It's a lot like the first game, but a touch slower and more forgiving. Nothing exciting, but worth a play.

The biggest difference is that there's no bottomless pits: the screen scrolls down with you when you fall.

No, thanks.

Have we ever had any third party titles on Club Nintendo, or are they all Nintendo published games?

I wish they'd stop trotting Yoshi out there. They might as well just offer it as a free download at this point.

@Deerock69

Kid Icarus isn't shit.

@PogueSquadron Nope, no third-party games. They've all been published by Nintendo.

Just a heads up, but starting on April 7th, any Wii and DS games registered will no longer receive the 10-coin post-play surveys. Also after this date, every new post-play survey earned will be active for only 30 days before expiring.

Any existing surveys you have will not be deleted or have the date shortened, so no worries there. This just applies to stuff not registered. Wii and DS games will still yield the coins for registration.

So if you want to receive the 10-coin bonus surveys for your Wii and DS games, better register them before April 7th!

@Deerock69, @kriswright

Yeah, Kid Icarus is actually quite good. And honestly? The Yoshi puzzle game is no slouch, either. That was one of the unexpected "hit" games I was pleasantly surprised to get during the 3DS Ambassador Program. I hadn't played it before, but when I gave it a shot on 3DS, I found out I actually quite enjoyed it.

Jury is out on Number Battle and Bonsai Barber, though. Haven't tried either one yet.

@Mop it up

Thanks for the heads up. I have a few Wii and DS codes that I've been hoarding, so now I have to decide whether I want to get the most amount of coins now, or keep them to help with Platinum status in a future year.

I actually have the Japanese version of Number Battle. Never opened it. But it's Mitchell!

I think I got Bonsai Barber when it was a prize last time. I'll have to check.

I find Yoshi to be surprisingly addictive. Oddly enough, it was probably my most played Ambassador game.
