Why not sign up for a (free) account?

Yeah Mario's Picross is great, though that was the first eShop game I bought, haha.

Anyway, glad I hopped on Mario Party 2 last month.

Radar Mission is not a good game. Avoid it.

Yeah, but you also say that 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors was not enjoyable. How can I trust your opinion? How, I ask you? HOW?!?

@GameDadGrant

I'm fairly sure I made it clear that my main beef with 999 was the frustration of having to read so much text so much more slowly than I usually read (it's like being forced to walk behind a bunch of slow-walking people on the sidewalk with no opportunity ever to pass them, ugh), and having to go through the motions over and over again when arriving at a puzzle I had already solved before. If you didn't have those issues, fine, more power to you.

If my credibility is shot because of this, well, enjoy Radar Mission, Grant.

I'm interested in both Cubello and Mario's Picross. I've actually never bought a Picross game before.

Hey why buy one when I could play InfinityWave's for free!

But to be honest, I've played a bit of Picross in the past and it's just not as addictive to me as it seems to be to others. There doesn't seem to be much... dynamic nature? It seems that you learn like two or three techniques and use them over and over and over. Something like Pushmo seems to have way more variety based on its limited concept.

But I'm open to sitting down and trying one out more. Is this Mario one generally considered one of the good ones?

@Zero

Honestly I'd just try to find the DS one instead. It's what, 20$? Maybe even cheaper in some places. You not only get a ton of puzzles but you get touch screen controls AND some puzzles that were included in Mario's Picross if I'm not mistaken. Of course if you get the GB one then it's "free" but with the DS one you also get some coins to register!

Yeah but if I get a cartridge version I'll probably never play it because there will always be a different game in my 3DS.

Hmm.

all i've been thinking is I should have held out on downloadable games so I could've spent coins on that DS/3DS 18 cartridge game case. I hope I have enough coinage by the time it returns.

Zero, get Mario's Picross because it's free, then get Picross DS and be amazed at the virtues of touch controls, then get Picross 3D and be amazed at the concept of Picross applied to 3D space. Then maybe by the time you're done Picross-e will release on the eShop.

Mario's Picross shall be MINE!
It was one of the GB games I used to own that mysteriously disappeared.

@anon_mastermind Well it's not "free" per se, or I should say, it holds opportunity cost. I get this in lieu of getting another game, so I want to make sure it's something I really want.

...but it's only 100 coins and I have like 1,000 saved up so why not?

I'm definitely getting Cubello. Annoying I won't be able to play it much since my Wii in this house is PAL and can't use the Shop, but eventually hopefully I'll be able to transfer this stuff over to Wii U.

I'll probably get Cubello too, seeing as I was thinking about getting it for awhile even back when I had to pay for it. I hear good things about this game from Negative World, you guys better not be steering me wrong!

There's a lot at stake, eh?

@Anand
Welp, it looks like my wish came true. (I already have Picross and Cubello.)

Anyway, I'm going to be pretty sensitive to the value of these things moving forward. Some deals definitely give you more points per buck than others.

I guess that should be bucks per point.

Waauurrgghhhh!

I downloaded Radar Mission and... it kinda sucks! It's basically Battleship against a non-human opponent! And that's literally IT.

WHY DIDN'T ANYONE WARN ME ABOUT THIS GAME?!? WHY DIDN'T ANYONE TELL ME NOT TO GET THIS?!?

*weeps bitterly in the corner*

@Anand There is! You have to weigh what is currently available with what may be available in the future. How do people make these decisions?!

On the plus side, I have like a billion new surveys I can fill out to get even more coins. It never ends! I'm starting to wonder if I should actually be buying eShop/etc. games right away or just waiting until they can be bought for coins.

OK no one answered my question from last page, but it looks like the Wii version of the Art Style games are good, so I'll probably, maybe get Cubello. Maybe.

@Zero
Wow really? I would highly, highly recommend Picross 3D, or as I like to call it: Digital Crack.

The game should have some kind of warning label on it, no joke. It's that good.

I did download the demo. It was ok. I dunno. Maybe I'll get it someday.

I kind of feel like games like this work better for me as digital downloads because I'm only going to play a few boards at a time before I want to play something else. Hopefully that Picross e makes it over here.
