Yes, it's been two weeks already! DrFinkelstein hosts for the second time in a row along with Ploot and PogueSquadron in this 'saturated with greatness' podcast. In the first hour you'll find that the guys take care of the almost obligatory Zelda: Skyward Sword discussion being that all three have conquered the game. In the the second hour you'll find a lot of variety!

Ploot explains why you Americans now have NO EXCUSE not to buy Xenoblade Chronicles, PogueSquadron heads a discussion of heroic proportions about superhero games, and DrFinkelstein gets semi-old school as he gets the gang to ponder some "What If" titles they'd like to see from the Gameboy Advance on the 3DS Virtual Console.

During the Zelda discussion, (from the 36 minute mark, lasting for about six minutes) the guys discuss some boss battles and later game stuff. It's probably the most spoilerish part of the discussion, so you have been warned!

As usual, the theme music comes from Negative World's owner and dictator, Zero. The music throughout the podcast is taken from Skyward Sword, Xenoblade Chronicles, Batman (NES), and Golden Sun.

Ahh, I did not have my usual opportunity for podcast listening today, but I will soon!

After you power up for the third time, go for it and listen to the rest. We don't spoil anything for that. We mention the end boss fight but not specifics.

Nice Skyward Sword discussion, I love the passion many of us share for this game. You guys sound so happy.

I am definitely looking forward to Xenoblade, I've already heard much about this game from many different sources, and everything about it has been overwhelmingly positive. Since I didn't bother importing, now I will have my chance to play. Great job on playing the music over the first part of Paul's Xenoblade discussion.

Excellent music transitions! Lol at the bit about people with hoarse voices! Go Batman. I was laughing when you guys painted the image of Batman (and his awesome voice) opening a treasure chest and getting a hookshot.

I'm with Stephen on the whole superheroes topic: I haven't really played them that much because I was never really into them except as a kid, when I had some X-Men and Wolverine comic books (oh wait, I still have some stored in a box somewhere). But I always loved the Turtles. Because they are Heroes as well as Ninjas, no matter what country you live in.

X-Men arcade. Enough said.

This was the first time I heard about the Wolverine Origins game, and was surprised when Jamie said 'bloody.' So I looked it up... wow, they turned a Wolverine game into one of the bloodiest, goriest, death-filled beat-em ups, and reminded me of MadWorld (though the two are very different in other ways). So weird, yet so expected in the game industry we have today.

Kind of neat the way the superhero discussion came back to Zelda at times, and how genres kind of blend into each other. Yeah, Skyward Sword does have a Metroid feel to it. I do look forward to Batman on Wii U, even if it's going to be somewhat old at that point.

I still want to play Batman on NES all over again. That game was awesome.

Onto the GBA for 3DS VC. Oooh, Golden Sun music. Goood memories there. Unfortunately I never played the second or third one. They're on my list of games to play, a list that I have to carefully massage because allocating my game time is such a difficult endeavor.

I'm pretty happy with my GBA collection, but there were some games I missed out on I would like to see come out on the VC, like DK: King of Swing and Ninja Five-O.

Paul's bucket of GBA games is impressive; the well runs deep.

"There's a fire in my belly for Fire Emblem" - Stephen

The thought of Tingle's ties to the goddess: fascinating.

And yes, video game merchants should meet up. Beedle and the RE4 merchant would be great pals and never run out of things to say.

I think they did a god job in Skyward Sword of showing Link speaking to other people even if we don't know exactly what he's saying. The camera does show him gesturing (and moving his lips too I think), making him a more believable character (with emotion) than previous 3D Zelda games where he's not reacting at all.

Love the title of this episode. What a great slip of the tongue there Stephen.

Overall, great humor throughout this episode. Well done!

I just started listening this morning, and unfortunately I had to skip the first 40 minutes due to possible spoilers (I'm only 20 hours into Skyward Sword). I hate having to do this but I don't want anything ruined for me!

There definitely isn't that much that's spoilery but there's a few things you might not wanna hear yet. Go back when you're done though!

The funniest part of this podcast was hearing @ploot say "out" like "oot" and adding an "eh?" at the end of a sentence or two.

He is a true Canadian!

EDIT: Also, wasn't Kirby and the Amazing Mirror confirmed as one of the GBA Ambassador titles? I thought it was...?

Not in the lists I saw. Technically we have 3 weeks to find out. Hopefully you're correct! Cause I'd be down to play what is said to be one of the greatest Kirby games ever.

@GameDadGrant That and SMB3 were rumored. I know SMB3 was refuted, and I think Kirby is still expected, but not 100% confirmed.

I think somebody said they'd prefer Nightmare in Dream Land, but isn't that a remake of Kirby's Adventure (which is available on 3DS via 3D Classics)? I own both and it doesn't seem like much more than a graphical update a la Super Mario All-Stars (though admittedly I've never finished it).

Hm. It's a little worrisome that those GBA games are so close to be released, yet we have no idea what they're gonna be (still!). Hopefully Nintendo will get those games out for Ambassadors in the next week or two.

Yes, Nightmare in Dream Land is a remake of the NES Kirby game, Kirby's Adventure. (recently re-released as a 3D Classics game)

Ploot sold me on Xenoblade. I loved the Beedle and Tingle discussions. Beedle's sound effect when he dumps you out of his trap door is amazing.
