@TriforceBunYes, this will be the fourth time I'll be purchasing it (NES, GBA, VC and now 3DS) and I'll still adore it from beginning to end. One of my all-time favorite NES games reborn in 3D? I'm all over it!

I never played this Kirby game... I guess now would be a good time to try it out? Also, I wonder when we'll get that firmware update? And the rest of the Ambassador titles as well.

@VofEscaflowneI think part of the firmware update was included with Super Mario 3D Land (at least the Friend List stuff). As for the Ambassador titles, I always thought it was December. Yes, get Kirby's Adventure if you're a Kirby fan in the slightest. This was his second game, and still one of his best. I highly recommend it.

We're still missing the ability to record videos in 3D though, plus the extra Mii Plaza content, messaging app and whatever other features.

I think I'm gonna pass on Kirby's Adventure. I own it on Wii and the GBA remake, and I've never finished either one.

Ummm... Dale North, Destructoid said:Let me tell you something about the music in Kirby's Adventure. It's like...it's like if you took how dogs dart and scramble around the house when they come in wet from the rain and distilled that into digital music. The music from Kirby's Adventure is like the audible version of a 44 oz mug filled with Red Bull and Pixy Sticks and smooshed tiramisu and methamphetamine. It's caffeine, fizz, liquid sugar and bubbles in your brain, entering through your ear holes. Your eyes flutter and you only see pink when they're opened. Your brain moves in fast-forward. The music of Kirby's Adventure was crafted to bring you to the point just before seizure.

Nintendolife tweet said:North America, we're hearing 3D Classics: Kirby's Adventure is up at $6.99, not the $5.99 Nintendo stated. We're investigating.

@GuillaumeI always thought it was supposed to be $6.99. The first place I read $5.99 was when I read the Kirby's Adventure thread this morning.

There are...a lot of notes. It's also a great soundtrack overall. But seven bucks? Dang it, Nintendo, you know I'm going to pay that, don't you?

@TriforceBunI'm with you, but here's how I feel about it. The NES VC game was $5. This one's enhanced with 3D graphics, customizable controls and (hopefully) a clean framerate (I'll have to play some and let you know my findings). I think that's worth the extra $2. Anyways, I downloaded it but haven't played it. It was over 400 blocks.

Customizable controls? Very cool--I wish all VC games allowed this. I'll definitely pick it up within the next few days. Lemme know how the 3-D effect works! Is it like ExciteBike where it actually skews the depth of field? That was a neat effect.

@ludist210I'm looking to give Kirby as a whole another shot. I figured this would be a good means to do so. Lemme know if you recommend it and how the 3D is, if it's worth a damn or not.

I downloaded 3D Classics: Kirby's Adventure this morning when I was out on the road. Played a bit of it later in the afternoon. It's very similar to how Excitebike got the 3D treatment; customizable depth of field and all that. It gets pretty deep. No parallax scrolling, from what I can tell so far. Not a huge deal, since everything is looks so good. The framerate is nice and crisp, too. I'm not a big fan of how the game doesn't take up the entire top screen, but I realize why they did it that way. It's $7, but so far I think it's worth it. I've played the game before (rented) back in the day - this is the first time I've ever actually purchased it. Also, what the heck? When did Double Dragon show up on the eShop?!?
