Well... hey Guillaume! I think I know a great way for me to give the Kirby franchise a real chance again.

Apparently Kirby's Adventure is coming to 3DS as a 3D Classic! That seems pretty cool. There's a preview on non-NA 3DS services. Hopefully it comes to the NA soon. I wanna see how this looks in action!

If I'm not mistaken... the 3D classics usually come out relatively soon after being announced right? Maybe this will be out before the end of the year?

Seemed like there was a 3D Classics release every month since launch, but it dried up in October.

I'd guess it'll be out soon.

Buuut isn't Kirby for kids and beginner players?

Bwahaha. Yeah, we knew about this from Iwata's talk a couple weeks ago. But video! I want to see it in 3D...

Whaaa! Well, I was in NYC at the time of this so I never saw that, however the thread died so quickly. Ah well. November 17th though, wow. That's real damn soon. Why didn't you tell me this the other day during the podcast?

I must have forgotten.

Also, maybe it didn't come through that way, but I more strongly recommend Super Star.

@Guillaume

Wasn't that just the European release date? If it's the American date, well...hot dang! Looking forward to buying this one (again)!

Ha, the off-screen footage makes it look just like the NES game. I'd really like to see it in 3D. This is a game I'm likely to download, especially if the framerate is fixed from the old NES version.

@ludist210

It's the European release date, yeah. I never said it wasn't!

It wouldn't shock me if it came out on the same day (since it is a Thursday), but it's odd that NoA hasn't said a word about it.

Aren't 3D Classics like $5? I might grab it for that price. It's been a long time since I gave Kirby's Adventure a proper play, and I want to see it without that weird graphical warping on the right side of the screen (and with the 3D, of course). Plus I'll probably have forgotten a few of the game's secrets: it'll be nice to re-live the first Easter egg I ever found...

I can't wait to see what this looks like in 3D. I've noticed that the 3D effect is very pronounced in these 3D Classics.

@Anand

Yeah, that developer does good work. Did you play Metal Torrent? Fun game.

A fellow Arika fan? Skullcrusha!!

I haven't grabbed Metal Torrent yet. Is it worth it?

@Anand

I think it is. It's a fun little SHMUP. I'm not entirely sure how the scoring system works, though. But for a game like that, I don't really concern myself with scoring. I'm just happy to shoot stuff and watch it blow up!

Not to step on Ludist's toes here, but this game comes out today, in NA.

I really wonder if there are any extras in there. It would perhaps push me over the edge.

@Guillaume

Does it? If so, sweet!

I haven't posted the Nintendo Download yet because the page's link is busted...

Yeah, Kirby's Adventure is out as a 3D Classics release today. Goes for $5.99. So, just one dollar more than a typical NES Virtual Console release. Seems fair to me.

@Guillaume

Extras? Like, besides the fact that it's in 3D? Do the other 3D Classics have extras in them?

@GameDadGrant

Yeah, besides the fact that it's portable and 3D. I already own it and already played it on VC, and I need more convincing.

And no, the other 3D Classics didn't have any extras, and that's why I didn't buy them. Other than Excitebike which was free and Twinbee which is exclusive.
