Interested in Freakyforms... this is NIntendo's first eShop release, right? I still have no idea what it's about honestly so maybe that'll change once I see a trailer

@VofEscaflowne

It's Nintendo's first, yeah. Looks...different, yet I'm intrigued.

I played it twice at E3 without understanding what I was doing, no one was around to help me out. I basically created a three-legged character and let it roam around eating fruit. Apparently I could have started missions with NPCs.

You could "slingshot" him by touching him, dragging, then releasing. Or you could touch the screen somewhere to make him walk.

And that's the end of my story.

Yep.

What would happen if you touched its third leg?

I'll give you points for trying to put a new twist on a joke I've read 4 times now.

Nothing for me this week, Freaky Forms is probably a good game but I don't see the concept jiving with me. Maybe a positive review or more indormation about the actual gameplay would persuade me.

BTW, the new Zelda Symphony on Nintendo Video is awesome. It's the same song we've been hearing in trailers forever, but it's still so good.

@anon_mastermind

That's the song that's actually "Zelda's Lullaby" played backwards, right?

@GameDadGrant
Yeah, I think so.

It's called "Goddess' Song" in the game

I just watched the trailer on the eShop for Freakyforms... what did I just watch? That look like a whole bunch of weird It's cool that there's StreetPass features and that you can exchange your creations via QR codes though but unless I see positive reviews, I think I'll pass on this.

I can't believe that you guys aren't as fascinated by Freakyforms as I am! I picked it up. It... is freaky. But I like freaky. Can't comment on the game proper yet, since the introductory stuff is pretty long (so long that the game itself told me to stop playing after my second beast), but it's charming, and the music is charming, and the 3D seems unnecessary, but who cares?

It looks like Freakyforms will scratch that create-your-own-world Drawn to Life itch. And the StreetPass features will be great for this kind of title (but does it really not have online??). Excited to play more and let my warped world come to life.

Drawn to Life has funnier results, though, since it actually makes you draw stuff.

I'm kinda sad there was no 3DS Virtual Console release this week.

It's good that they're not cannibalizing their first foray into 3DSWare, though.

In related news, I'm lovin' these orchestrated Zelda vids. I kind of regret missing the concert now. Put a surround sound DVD on Club Nintendo, Nintendo!!
