"Runner 2 is the sequel to the critically acclaimed and IGF award winning BIT.TRIP RUNNER.

In the style of the BIT.TRIP series, Runner 2 is a rhythm-music platforming game.

Players will run through fantastic environments, using brand new moves, to brand new soundtracks as they run, jump, slide, kick, and soar toward the goal of tracking down the Timbletot and thwarting his evil plans to destroy not only our world, but every world there is."

"The style of Runner 2 is a huge departure from the 8-bit style of the BIT.TRIP series, but it will still be amazing nonetheless! Look out!"

Why not sign up for a (free) account?

Where. Are. MY. Pixels!?

Looks like they won't be making this one with proprietary Nintendo tools this time. Hmmm.

According to Tiny Cartridge, it's being developed for XBLA and PSN. Maybe PC too?

Count me in.

Kind of sad that it's not going to a Nintendo platform after the whole BIT.TRIP series was born and raised there. Maybe Wii U... eventually.

Anyway, this is really for real, huh? Kind of confused about the art style, need to see the actual graphics in action.

I bet this comes to Wii U as well. Definitely excited to play it.

WOW, I guess I wasn't expecting this. I hope there's a Wii U version, otherwise I'll get the PC version.

Looks like it'll take place in weirdish versions of other games? Hmm, "Every world there is..." That one pic definitely looks like a sickly Super Mario World.
Maybe I'm jumping to conclusions.

If this is the game's inspiration, count me in twice.

Whatever they do I hope they just calm down with the color a bit...I like how colorful Bit.Trip.Runner was, but it just gets so confusing, especially as the levels go on.

If the run test on the page is any indication of the actual art, I...don't like it. Commander Video just looks odd.

Umm...this is really weird

It does look weird and kind of ugly, but it looks really early anyway. There's time to improve it.

Sweet!

I really enjoyed the first Runner game, much moreso than the other bit.trip games. I'll be buying this for sure.

@ploot
You know what would be good for that? A mat.

I'm all for Runner 2, but holy cow those graphics look weak next to the original Runner's.

I agree, but... early.
