Nintendo has put up an Ambassador Program Eligibility Tool on their site

NIntendo has put up a new tool on their site where you can put in your 3DS Serial Number and verify whether you are a Nintendo Ambassador. Here's the information straight from the site. Note: Some people have been getting messages saying that they are not Ambassadors when they put in the whole code. If this happens to you, try putting in all numbers except for the number in the box. I tried it both ways and it worked for me.

Nintendo 3DS Ambassador Eligibility
To verify that you are eligible for the Nintendo 3DS Ambassador program, enter the serial number in the box below. The serial number for a Nintendo 3DS is located on the bottom of the system - just below the barcode - and starts with the letters CW followed by 9 digits. (Be sure to include the last number in the box.)

Why not sign up for a (free) account?

When I entered mine, it told me that I didn't qualify... but somebody on GoNintendo said to take out the number in the box and try again. Then it said I did qualify.

*shrugs* I'm pretty sure I qualify, considering I bought the thing on launch. heh.

@Hinph I had put that in a note up top. Maybe I should put it in red and bold.

By the way, I'm not happy with the title for this news piece. If someone has a better title, please suggest it here.

I put it in without the CW, and I was getting undetermined both ways. Then I tried it with the CW (silly me for thinking since they all start with that, that it would be just the numbers) and it works. Mine works WITH the boxed number, by the way.

Seems like this tool is a piece of shit based on all the issues people are having.

Mine didn't work with the boxed number last night, but it does now. Maybe it just needed a few tweaks?

Leave it to NoA to screw it up. Every other region supposedly does NOT require the boxed number...

Yeah mine works with the boxed number too now.

I'm like too scared to try this out. I'm not even super excited about all of these games but I feel like I'm going to get screwed out of them somehow. I'M SO PARANOID LATELY.

Used it and was glad for the extra confirmation. Now to wait for September 1st.

@Alaska_Gamer September 1st can't come soon enough. I'm still wondering what the other games are going to be.
