Apparently we are getting Double Dragon GB on the eShop Virtual Console this week in Europe, does anyone have any experience with this version?#

well it didn't take long for a boring eShop announcement...

@Jargon

Don't count it all out yet. The eShop is supposedly being updated for a big celebration of Sonic's 20th. When I see news about it, I'll bump the post with the update.

Ummm...

There is something weird about these Pro Jumper! Guilty Gear Tangent!? screens, but I can't put my finger on it.

Oh, I figured it out: they're showing the levels out of order. So strange.

@Guillaume
The stage names are hilarious.

Pro Jumper? Intrigued. Is Aksys merging their Guilty Gear and MyHappyFamily brands?

EDIT: Oh, screens. Looks crazy. Crazy is good.

@Anand

It's worth clicking on the source. There are screens for every game, and trailers for some.

Okay, I shall, as they say in Canada, check it oot.

EDIT: Damn, I was interested just for the hot springs wackyness, but that looks really fun! It's so weird how game trailers show four simultaneous screen quadrants these days. But not for splitscreen games. Just for effect. Misleading.

@Anand

Ocarina of Time? I see what you did there...

Pun NOT intended! Good eye, though.

I'm disappointed that there are no Sonic games. However, I love Tennis for the Game Boy. I'm getting that as soon as I get back home.

@sirmastersephiroth

Waiting for Mario Tennis, personally. Don't know how long I'll have to wait, but it will be worth it.

Any insight into the Stratego game? I loved the TT version as a kid.

Stratego was bad-ass. I guess it wasn't a Hasbro thing, eh? There's a video on the site. Probably the real deal. But no downloadable multiplay? Bummer. These kinds of games should really support that.

I miss having updates on Monday.

@Guillaume

Do you think that'll be worth getting if I already own Mario Tennis for GBA?

@Jargon

Even going from memory/nostalgia: No, probably not.

@warerare
I have the cart. It is a slow and painful game with bad controls. But way back in the day I played it lots of course. The music is pretty cool though.

That's too bad. I enjoy Double Dragon, although it's hard to say why. It just has a nice, chunky feel.

No update for Sonic on the eShop as of 1:00 p.m. CST. Hmmm, odd.
