Directly from Alex Neuse's mouth: the 6 games composing the BIT.TRIP saga are coming to retail on a disc, with additional "challenges" not seen in the downloadable Wiiware versions. An official announcement should be coming in the next few days.

Niiiiice. I'll probably buy it just to support the guys, even though I already own all six games.

Great, now I need to decide if I need to buy them all again again.

Dude, you got the inside scoop while at E3. Fuck yeah man!

I'm gonna get this instead of the 3DS version.

Nice, but I want to know what is their next game.

Online leader boards, please.

@X-pert74

IMO it will probably play better. I vastly prefer the Wiimote over anything other method I've played for BEAT and FLUX (mouse in the PC version, tilt and touch controls in the iPhone version).

@chrisguy

I didn't ask, but I'm 100% sure the answer is "forget about it".

Neat. Good thing I only have 2 of the games, this will be worth it for me.

Yeah, this might very well be better than the 3DS version. I wonder if they'll have different content. Decisions, decisions.

Probably won't buy this, especially if I get the 3DS version. Unless the 3D effects are super-awesome I'd say that this is the definitive version for anyone who hasn't played these yet.

Nice job getting the scoop!

Thats cool, but I only like beat and runner. So, no buy for me. I guess I could pull this line, already got em, no need for a physical copy, even with extra content added.

I'll still probably end up picking up the 3DS version. I think I'll get more play out of it, I seem to prefer playing on handhelds lately.

I will likely pick this up down the road once it drops in price.

EDIT:

In addition to combining the six original games in one package, the Wii disc version will have a number of extra features, some not even found in the 3DS version (which will, to be fair, include 3D effects, portability, and touch screen controls for some of the games). The console compilation will have an art gallery, video gallery, and audio gallery, plus a special text message/commentary from creator Alex Neuse of Gaijin Games on each of the titles. More importantly, there will be new difficulty levels for each game. The biggest addition is a set of 120 new challenge levels, made up of 20 for each of the six games in the set. These will demand absolute perfection from the player, but they are kept short (possibly very short) to avoid frustration.

@rebonack
Wifi connection symbol? Soundtrack CD? Suddenly I'm more interested.

@rebonack 120 new challenge levels!? Sold. Although "20 each" for each game sounds weird since some of the games were only 3 levels total. I guess challenge levels are probably more like 1-2 minute quick whatevers.

The wifi connection logo gives hope for leaderboards... right?

In this retail release, which we're calling BIT.TRIP Complete, there are many new gameplay challenges. There's also unlockable video, art and music galleries, including fan remixes. It's so awesome because we got to include three remixes by one of our really big fans, Ganon95, on the Wii disc.

Perhaps Zero should email Mr. Neuse...

Ugh, why couldn't those extras be included in the 3DS version?! That really pisses me off.

@Secret_Tunnel Probably too late now. Wonder why they never contacted me, they CLAIM they rock my remix out at work.

Score! Only played Beat so far. Sooooo YAY!

Was looking forward to the 3DS version. The games would lend themselves nicely to flashy 3D effects and the overall portable platform. But I'd rather play them all the way God intended.

On my muthaflippin Wii.
