FAST looks good but I think I'll wait on some impressions. Too bad there's no online

Super Adventure Island is the only game that somewhat looks tempting. My cousin used to play this game a lot and I'm not sure if I found it entertaining or not. Saw the video of FAST and found it boring. House M.D......love the show, love the actor, want to keep it that way. Not sure if a game (that might play like a low budget Trauma Center game) was a smart route to go considering its a dsiware game and we all know there are limitations when it comes to that. B-team episode 1 Dust & Steel, never heard of it. I'll research that. Valet Parking 1989? I'll pass just because of the stupid title.

Yay, more Virtual Console

I'll download that Bit.Trip demo, like I've done with a bunch of their other demos, and probably never play it. Although I'm planning on getting Bit.Trip Saga for the 3DS when I get one, since I've never played any of the games before.

Fairly impressive looking.

I'm curious what you guys will think about Super Adventure Island. I remember being pretty peeved, at the time, because it didn't have dinosaurs, making it feel like a step back from the NES games. I also remember playing through it like 10 times, despite lacking dinosaurs it was just... fun?

I think I'll wait for some reviews/impressions on FAST. Also, I'm mostly likely getting Wipeout as one of my free PSN games so not sure if I really need FAST as well.

@Zero I remember renting Super Adventure Island back on my SNES and really loving it for the whole weekend I spent with the game. At the time I was still super impressed with the SNES big bright graphics and advanced sound technology. I had never played any of the Adventure Island games prior to that.

I may get it for the VC just to relive those happy memories.

I Dl'ed Fast tonight and got to play it for a few minutes. I definitly will be playing this more tomorrow. The contols are great, and between graphics and sound, its a great package for 10 bucks. I recommend it to those who like racing games.

@roykoopa64

I just got the game, and... if you haven't already, get New Adventure Island instead. It's way better-looking and it plays better.

Cool, almost forgot today was Monday! I'll be checking out FAST for sure. Probably try out some Super Adventure Island as well - it was one of those SNES games I wanted to play but never got around to.

That B-Team game on DSiWare sounds kinda intriguing too, but not enough to actually download. I've got plenty of other downloadable games from the DSiWare service that are further up the priority list anyway.

I got to the end boss's second form in Super Adventure Island but he killed my ass instantly.

Be warned, it's a really short game, only 5 areas (3 levels each). It goes by fast. But it's challenging enough, it's not as if I breezed through the thing. I used up all my continues before finishing the 2nd area the first couple of times.

Mostly because Hudson insists on COMPLETELY changing the way Master Higgins controls from game to game. I have played though Adventure Island, New Adventure Island, Adventure Island: The Beginning and Super Adventure Island, and at this point, there has been NO consistency whatsoever. He doesn't feel the same in any two game.

In this one, for some reason, you can't run anymore. But you can crouch for a super jump. Heh. Works pretty well, actually.

Oh, and finally, this game got some decent bosses that fill the screen. Prior to that, all of them shared the puny bosses twice your height that you simply shoot in the head. That said, this game needs more of them.

If I hadn't gotten addicted to Pinball since podcast ep. 9 I would download FAST. Marvel Pinball is just too much fun at the moment.

In case anyone here doesn't know...Super Adventure Island has one of the best VG soundtracks on the SNES...maybe of all time?

I want Super Adventure Island II... although I guess it's pretty different than previous games. Still, I remember this game being pretty awesome.

@carlosrox

The soundtrack IS pretty damn awesome. But the New Adventure Island soundtrack was just as good, or so I remember. I'll have to check.

I beat Super Adventure Island last night, it took about 3 hours. With New Adventure Island playing a bit better, looking better, and being 2 dollars cheaper, though just as short, I have to recommend New over Super.
