@Dillo64More of a fan of Dolphin. It's original, it's a mammals that can live underwater, and dolphins rock.

Man, if Nintendo goes with the real R700 (the 4870x2), we are gonna looking at some sexy graphics. I just came across this demo, and I'm amazed at the lighting and water

Wow are those some butt-ugly fish at 2:55! Lol, all that work on everything else and they didn't even bother trying with the fishies. Which I guess is why I shy away from these sorts of super-modeled visuals. One area not at 100% and it looks awful. Still I would not be opposed to seeing what Nintendo could do with that power level and the colorful world of Mario. *drool*

@-JKR-LOL!!! Yeah, I thought that was funny too. The fish really did look terrible, especially compared to everything else. Here's a much better demo anyway, and it's a single 4870 instead of the dual solution

Wooooooooooow... Okay, see now THAT is a tech demo right there! The animation on the human was awful but WOW is that cool. Wow. Yeah, sign me up for one of those, please.

All real-time too, baby!! What's shocking though is that that tech demo isn't even using the dual GPUs. It's using a single card, which is a very likely candidate for Wii 2's GPU. Considering the it'll be in a closed-box environment (console) instead of a PC, it will have a ton of potential.

Third parties better flipping USE that potential this time... Not just Nintendo and sometimes Capcom! Man I'm hyped. Where are today's latest batch of crazy rumors for me to feed upon?

I just wanna see what GTA V or Pikmin would look like with those kind of graphics. Surely my face would melt.

I don't know if I'll be able to HANDLE Pikmin with that tech. I might explode. What am I saying "might"...

I 'shopped this together yesterday. I'm hoping Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles and Pacman Vs we'll see at launch EDIT: PS- i know Virtual boy was positioned in the market as a kind of semi-portable 3D so I just went with that

so I'm surprised o ones speculating why its called cafe. I had a (really) crazy idea that Nintendo would push to have their systems in public places like cafes and people just bring in their controllers and have multiplayer fun with total strangers. Only real issue with it is how much streaming could this system actually provide until it effects gameplay

R700 is a 3 year old tech, which came out in 2008 so that lends credibility to nintendo using it. For the pure fact that nintendo likes to use old tried and tested technology but customised for their own needs. Also the graphics card no matter what it is as we all know isnt the end to the story. What nintendo chooses to do with the chip in size, process, energy consumption, utilisation, assignment of ram and all that are factors that can and will affect its performance. Along with if they chose to "assign" the graphics card with the task of processing audio as well, nintendo have been fond of doing this over the years as well. There is an indicator that they may change this and have a dedicated audio chip in the system to process what should be expected as 5.1 audio minimum (why would you goto HD without upgrading audio as well) as they have upgraded the audio in the 3DS. (i read an article about the unknown features of the 3ds and one of them was apparently nintendo hadn't upgraded the audio processing from the GBA right up until the DSiXL, or something like that) So without the graphics card having to deal with the audio as well this gives it more room for pure graphical performance. Also wild speculation, maybe the audio will be put onto the CPU as rumour dictates a tri-core powerPC cpu and a core could be partially partitioned for audio?

If you pay attention it's not just the fish that have weak geometry, all the rocks are pretty polygonal too. The geometry doesn't look too far beyond what, say, Metroid Prime games show off. Only the textures/lighting/water are light years ahead.

@RenjakuTrue but the textures save most of the rocks despite the low poly count (listen to me pretending I know what I'm saying!). The fish can't be saved by textures.

@-JKR- Imma not a tech whore, I should be fathomable. I think it's the fact that they're rocks saves the rocks. Rocks are supposed to be geometrical.
