Well, there's one Sunday I won't be leaving the house. Europe, as usual, gets it the previous Friday, June 17th.

Yeah, I was thinking the same. If that's the real box art, Nintendo is playing it ultra safe with the "3D not safe for kids under 7" disclaimer. It seems unnecessary since 3DS has the 3D slider, but... there's legal ramifications and all that nonsense.

So I guess we get to look forward to looking at that same disclaimer on the cover of every 3DS game we buy. Nice.

Wasn't there a 3DS launch game in Japan that didn't use the 3D? Is 3D required by Nintendo in 3DS games?

I was originally not very excited about this remake. "Cool, I'll pick it up when it's cheap."

Now I can't wait... the addition of the Master Quest really helps. I hope they have changed it up even more than what we got on that bonus disc.

I went with Pilot Wings. Never was a big racing game fan and I figure short and sweet is the best I can hope for at this point.

Oh, I thought you already had it. That's good, too. Ridge Racer is pretty enormous, though. If it wasn't held back by technical aspects, it would be a title for the ages, maybe.

@Zero
Yes. Cubic Ninja. And no, it isn't. But yes, the US version of Cubic Ninja will have 3D.

Yea, I've been gameless. I hoped just the pack-in software would keep me interested, but considering Street Pass is all but useless in Hartford, I'm happy to actually get a game.

@roykoopa64

And over here, I look forward to seeing it in two languages on each and every game box.

@TriforceBun

Kirby's Canvas Curse came out much later in the DS's life, though...

@Guillaume

That's true, wasn't it like the September after the launch? So almost a YEAR.

I remember Kirby and Meteos coming out around the same time, in June I believe. So yeah, that'd be six months after launch then. I guess I can cut Nintendo some slack, but I still thirst for new 3-D games!

@TriforceBun

I miss Meteos... there should be another one for the 3DS!

Ever play the Disney version?

Might be my Disney Fanboyism talking, but it was better.

@-JKR-

I did not...

But I already liked the little alien characters the way they were D:

Disney Meteos was book style, right? That's a pretty big difference. The blocks on Meteos were tiny.

@Jargon
If it makes you feel any better, StreetPass is also useless in the Chicago Loop. (I'm not sure why that would make you feel better.)

I still kind of question the whole "3d not safe for kids" thing...Maybe it really isn't safe, but from what I've read, children develop stereopsis (the ability to see in 3D) around the 4 month range. I wouldn't think they would have anything to worry about, but maybe there's been more research on it than what I'm aware of.

I mean, kids movies are 3D all the time now, but I've never seen anything about banning 6 year olds from seeing Toy Story 3 in 3D.

It's legal, cover-their-ass stuff. Nintendo has been sued a lot of times, probably because of the age of much of their audience.

But you only paid for ONE of those copies, and it was many, many years ago! Will you punish Nintendo for their divine generosity?

This is why I don't get it when people say Nintendo is milking OoT.

To be honest, I think the game might be worthwhile just to play OOT with non-clunky controls. Link seems to move a hell of a lot more smoothly than in the original. Master Quest is icing on the cake.
