Have you been wondering just how Nintendo would be able to pull off marketing a device thats main feature can't be shown on TV? Then look no further.



The first advertisment has hit North Amercian TV and I have to say it does a great job of advertising the 3D and AR features without seeming too cheesy. It really is nice to see Nintendo go on a full on marketing blitz for the system much like the Wii at launch, now it would be nice to see them put out the same effort for new game releases.

Oh and while we are at it here is the first Street Fighter IV advertisment

The ending with Mario and Luigi trying to squeeze through the door was priceless, and made the video for me. Good stuff, indeed, all around. And yes, very un-Nintendo like... in an unexpectedly good way, of course.

It's not hard to believe it's form Nintendo. After all, they're the ones who came up with the whole dumb "touching is good" slogan for the DS, and this isn't much better.

You can't really make it happen, and I think that's why the video was supposed to be funny. Don't ask me though, I didn't think the video was funny (except for the bit with Mario and Luigi at the end).
