You can now flag threads, replay the NEQ and auto login will be off next week

After the 3DS news, more Negative World news!

Simbabbad coded two new features some people asked for:

- You can flag threads to find them more easily. To flag/unflag a thread, just click on the grey icon on its right. It'll then turn black (if it's a standard thread, a little flag will appear on it), and the thread will be marked as "flagged" in its topic. Contrarywise, if you click on the icon of a flagged thread, it'll unflag it.

Of course, flags are kept between sessions. They'll still be here if you log off then log back in.

To easily find them, you can filter the board to display only flagged threads by using the search form.

- If you have completed the NEQ, you can replay any level. Of course, you won't earn any XP, but you can access them simply by choosing the level you want to replay on the NEQ page.

Also, auto login will be removed next week, on Monday. This decision has been taken to tighten up security. You can still use the "remember your login information" of your browser, of course. You have until Monday to either use your browser options or learn your login information by heart.

EDIT: New feature: if you haven't unlocked all skins and set your skin of choice to the daily skin, you'll see a skin you haven't unlocked yet on weekends.

Why not sign up for a (free) account?

All joking aside, the flagging feature is a godsend for me (um, it's an expression, Simba, don't let it go to your head). Now I can flag all of the threads containing Youtube videos I can't watch at work, and remember to check back when I'm home. I can also flag spoilery discussion threads for games I'm not done playing.

It's awesome! What a genius idea! I deserve at least 75% of the credit for timidly suggesting it!

Any chance of adding some kind of session length to the login? I don't feel like logging in over and over all day long.

I'm not even sure why it was necessary, most sites log you in automatically. I only logged into IGN about once a year and used it every day. :-/

@Negative World

It's not Monday!

But I got Safari to remember my login info.

I did not notice anything different when I logged in this morning (using Firefox).

It's been bringing me to the home page instead of the forums for over a month, now. I thought the auto login was already gone.

@Y-Alpha

Did you have any sort of problem with session length so far?

Well it ends when I close the browser, and when I log back in I have to start typing my username before FF remembers the login details.

Eh, I'll get used to it. I don't mean to be a pain in the ass. The site has come such a long way in the last year or so it's amazing. :)
