EDIT: What! Might not be accurate! Aaaaah Destructoid curse you Jim Sterling
Weird that neither Starfox nor Zelda are anywhere to be seen. I guess they're putting a bit more into those remakes than I suspected. I think Starfox will be pretty kickass. Still iffy on the Ocarina port.
That would be awesome. Command's multiplayer was pretty fun. I always wished they would blow it out on the Wii, but 3DS is cool, too!
@Pandareus Well, I am personally against the term generic Metroidvania, although it can be logically applied to Castlevania games which follow in the Metroid mold.
Anybody else remember when it felt like all the N64 had was Mario, Wave Race and Pilotwings for like its entire first year? Definite shifting of gears for the 3DS, it seems.
So, do we know for sure that the DSiWare (soon to be renamed) service will be available at launch? And will it have the games that are currently available on it? I'm not super psyched about the 3DS launch line-up, but if I could grab up a few retail games and open up access to a bunch of downloadable games at the same time that'd be pretty nice.
@Deerock69 There was also Extreme-G. And um... Shadows of the Empire?
Crap. Nothing I really want there though I wouldn't mind trying a few things. I think every launch has been like this for the most part. Early gems usually release around the launch time of systems though, I love that time!!
@Zero I actually bought Shadows of the Empire on launch day. That was a fun game I played from beginning to end, and it had the original Hoth 3D. Good stuff. But you destroy my narrative with FACTS, damn you!
There is no reason why DSiware wouldn't be available to buy on 3DS on the day of its release. The DSiware compatibility has been reconfirmed at least during the Japan event.
Basically the killer app to me is playing a game in 3D. Hopefully a good one, but the novelty alone will be huge and probably sustain things until a true killer app releases.
Not sure where Destructoid got this list, but Capcom's press release says Mercenaries isn't coming till the Summer, so I dunno how much of the rest of the list is accurate.

You know, I don't remember. I think in the GBA's case, I had simply been without a Nintendo system for the past 5 years and the Nintendo bug just bit me again all of a sudden. I realized I had enough cash for a GBA and Golden Sun, and went for it. But I don't remember being hyped for Golden Sun.
In the DS's case, I remember finding Polarium incredibly attractive, but I didn't get the DS when that game launched. More like a couple of weeks before Canvas Curse hit.
